I had to put my poor poor poor dog to sleep about a month ago. I still feel like fucking shit. I'll never see him or hug him again. I didn't even mind cleaning and carrying him down the stairs, I really enjoyed helping him...
Cherish your dogs... I'd do anything to have him back. He was such a wonderful guy.

yes you are. you get over him by getting another dog. it doesn't reduce his memory or his importance in his life, it's simply the easiest way to go for most people in my experience
