There's no reason for him to get a brand new dog when you have two untrained already. Make him take responsibility for them and if you see an improvement in their behaviour consider getting a new one? Or make him get a job and pay for all pet expenses himself

Anyone know anything about this? I have 2 dogs, and only one of them is well-mannered enough to sleep in the bedroom at night. The other finds and eats dryer sheets, licks whatever body part of ours she can reach from the side of the bed, or starts trying to play rough with the 'good' dog that is trying to sleep. Nothing you can actually *punish* her for, just harmless mischief.
Will I be birthing a serial killer if I allow the 'good' one to sleep in the bedroom and not allow the other?

Thanks for the link. I read through it. It seems to suggest that at the very least, a dog's capacity for jealousy is the same as a 6 month old baby's. So I imagine the long-term effects of another dog being favored would be detrimental.
So I guess neither of them will get the bedroom. Poor pups. Oh well.

so I'm gonna apply for a job at a pet center nearby
it has qts and rescue kittens and dog school etc, as well as being just a general retail for pet merchandise and peripherals
what are some interesting things about generic pets that can make me look smart, common misconceptions and whatnot

How do they move if they are non-living? I know that they don't walk (or do they?), but how do they squat to inject their DNA on bacteria if they are lifeless and thus can't do anything on their own?

Are bones okay for dogs, /an/?
I've tried searching and searching for a proper answer, but opinions seem split. I've heard "all bones are fine since splintering is rare", "never small bones but huge bones are safe", "only pork or beef bones and only raw", "never pork bones", and "never ever feed any bones whatsoever". It seems like raw bones might be a bit safer, since there's not much of a chance of splintering...? I got a natural pork femur bone specifically packaged as a dog chew, and gave it to this...

do you generally want the hardest bones possible? I've heard people say soft bones are safer since they won't splinter and can be digested easily.
