My dog keeps eating Hosta leaves.

I've looked up Hosta online, and it turns out it contains saponin, which can be toxic to dogs, and it's recommended that dog owners not have Hosta on their yards.

And, its roots are hardy, and it's impossible to get rid of them completely without pesticides (which is toxic to dogs, obviously).

How do I use pesticide that it doesn't harm my dog? Also, what do I plant in their stead?

I live in a very rainy area, and Hosta has been very good at soaking up the excess moisture during the wet season.

>And, its roots are hardy, and it's impossible to get rid of them completely without pesticides
They are a hardy plant, but this is not true at all. Just dig them up OP, uou won't have any problems. If you do see some more come up next spring it will be small, and easily dealt with the same way.
If you would like to keep your hostas spray deer repellent on them. It has cayenne pepper in it so your dog should avoid it.
I don't know what zone you are in, but I would recommend irises to replace your hostas. Good luck.

make sure it is warm

you should contact a local animal shelter, if not then you now have a new pet when you figure out how to feed it
>>
Keep it warm, dip your finger in water and let the chick drink that, feed it soggy strands of bread or something

In the meantime find a refuge or sanctuary, unless you're really confident you can keep it not only alive, but also happy
>>
I can't tell what kind of bird it is but feed it cat or dog (preferably cat) food soaked in water, make it into a mushy oatmeal-like consistency

>In late May 2016, police and wildlife officials began an operation to remove all living tigers at Tiger Temple. During the operation, officials found over 40 tiger cub corpses as well as numerous body parts from other animals preserved in freezers. According to a representative of the Department of National Parks, the tiger cubs had died only a short time before the raid. The temple however had not reported the birth of any tigers for months. This was seens as a sign for hidden illegal breeding. Some twelve living hornbills were also confiscated as being possessed without license.[15] The abbot's secretary was stopped from leaving the site with over 1000 amulets containing little pieces of tiger skin, two whole tiger skins and ten tiger fangs. He and four other persons are investigated for alleged wildlife smuggling. The Temple was closed to the public at the beginning of the raid. On 3 June, another thirty carcasses of tiger cubs were found in containers with English-language labels, suggesting that the might have been for sale.

Do you feed your cats cat food? I'm thinking of getting one but I dont feel like giving it a mass of industrial gruel to keep him alive will make him happy.

What do they eat normally and that one could easily feed it? Tuna?

Cat food is made in a lab to have everything a cat needs to survive. Buy fancy feast if you think your pet is too good for dry food.

Or kill it a songbird or a vole every morning. Up to you.

It should fly away when it feels better

It's still there, though. It's moved about six inches closer to the wicker chair, I imagine to get out of the direct sunlight.

Snek thread!

I plan to add some style of snek to my reptile menagerie sometime this summer. It's hatching season right now and it's been fun watching all the breeders posting their early clutches for the year so far.

Hi, yes, hello. My puppy Frank (9 week old staffy) recently got his first shots and a de-worming pill (on saturday morning, it is currently 1:22pm monday). Saturday evening he pooped around 3am and there was a finger length worm in it, the next few times he pooped there were no signs but last night there were 1-2 smaller ones in it again. Now I'm sure they've only shown up as the pill is ridding him of the worms but MY ACTUAL QUESTION IS HOW LIKELY IS IT THAT I HAVE CONTRACTED WORMS FROM MY PUPPY AS I LIVE IN AN APARTMENT.

TLDR

PUPPY POOPED OUT WORMS TWICE AFTER CHECK UP/WORM PILL, DO I HAVE WORMS AS I PICK UP AND DISCARD OF HIS POOP WITH TOILET PAPER...

pic related, puppy just fell asleep.

I don't think the species of roundworm that enter a dog can survive inside a human being due to massive immunological system differences.

One might have tried to enter your skin but it is very unlikely it succeeded. Like 99,9999% unlikely.

You're okay. Don't worry, OP.

Unless, of course, you ate your dog's poop.

Worms generally get in when dogs smell or lick foreign objects.

Specially roundworms which seem to be the ones in your dog.
>>
>>2139504
not very likely as long as you aren't a complete idiot and eat one of the worms.

you didn't eat one did you...DID YOU?

but seriously 3 tiny worms in a puppy is about the best you're gonna contend with, with a puppy with worms.
Worst case scenario you're looking at some Lovecraft shit with said dogs asshole as dozens of worms come out of its ass but not fully leave and you have to grab them fuckers through a plastic bag and get em on out of dat ass
