Hey /an/
Found this sucker in my kitchen. This is a young one, the adults are all black, and about 4 cm long.
Any idea what this is ? (I live in the south of France)
>>2130227
It looks like a maggot or caterpillar of some sort. Its some kind of larva, anyway. I can't really tell from that picture.
>>2130336
since when did maggots and caterpillars even remotely resemble one another?
>>2130359
in the picture op posted, they do
but seriously, it's a caterpillar
which one, I don't know
Found a wolf spider in my home, big as FUCK
Should I be worried? I live in a basement suite
How to spider proof home?
>>2129964
>Should I be worried?
they bite.
>How to spider proof home?
seal up every hole and crack big enough for a spider to get into. Then get as much junk as you can out of the house. If you get rid of their hiding places in your stuff most of them will get eaten or leave.
>>2129967
How do I know if I have a wolf spider probem?
couple weeks ago i was really sick, had swollen lymph nodes and shit too maybe it was a bite
>>2129964
>Should I be worried?
No. Their harmless. Tarantula lycosa can give a pretty ugly bite if provoked, but those only live in southern Europe. If you live somewhere else, you likely didn't find a wolf spider, but a giant house spider, and those are totally harmless.
>couple weeks ago i was really sick, had swollen lymph nodes and shit too maybe it was a bite
This is literally how rumours about "dangerous" spiders are born. Unless you...

Hey /an/
It's my first time on his board, and I don't know if this is the right place to have his thread but I'm looking into becoming a bee keeper so I want to know everything I can before I start
Are there any beekeepers here who can give advice?
they can sting you
You need to know how to spot the queen
When a bee stings you it dies.
My Pit just dragged this into my living room, still alive.
Looks like a robin fledgling, but I'm counting on you guys to tell me I'm wrong.
Anyways I sat it outside about two hours ago and it hasn't moved, and nothing has come to pick it up yet.
Is it all ogre for him?

Have you even looked for the nest, retard?
>>2129445
Not OP and yes while he should absolutely look for a nest - has anyone who has ever found a baby bird ever been able to put it back in the nest in an actual tree? I've been able to do it twice out of probably well over 50+ times in my life.
> an owl nest in my garage, so it wasn't very high.
>two, I was 22 at that point I was fucking awesome at climbing trees without easy to access branches.
The only reason why I even knew it was 'their'...

Have you ever gotten a pet that wasn't really what you were expecting?
Of course you're supposed to learn all you can about the animal you want, and even handle one if you can. But of course not all experiences are the same.
Mine is actually a good experience.
>guy has Nicaraguan boa that is nippy as hell
>I read up, nic boas are usually feisty
>gives him to me, it's my first snake but I'm ok if it's feisty

Are you sure it isn't just too cold?
I guess I never expected the family cat to become increasingly social as it aged to the point of being somewhat annoying and giving me grief every time I have to leave it alone.
>>2129213
They said the same thing about my central American, but he's the most docile snake I've ever held
Same here, with a green anaconda
>open the deli cup cringing a little because I know I'm gonna get bitten
>she's exceptionally tame
>still is

Why haven't we domesticated the Goose yet?

Do you really want to domesticate this?
Are these fat fucks the smartest non primate land animals?
Yes.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_animals_by_number_of_neurons
Though Orcas kick their ass pretty hard in most areas, and those are really only mammals that happen to swim a lot.
>>2128441
>dolphins have more brain neurons than humans
Fascinating.
>>2128445
They can do some pretty cool shit that we can't. Too bad it's so hard to cook things underwater, at this rate they'll never get the energy necessary to form our intellect.
No.1. Why does any fucking like dogs when they smell like FUCKING shit? I mean they're cute from a distance then they get close and slobber all over you like a fucking idiot. Cats NEVER smell bad and always respect your personal space.
tl;dr:
>Why are cats superior pets?
pic related
> Cats NEVER smell bad
cats smell objectively worse than dogs do.
atleast dogs don't give you brain parasites.
I find cats stink way worse than dogs.
>>2128368
Come on, no house cat smells bad at all. They clean themselves. They do have bad breathe but they don't fucking breathe all over you like dogs do.
Bullybro appreciation.
This is my Beef, he's a 1 and a half year old English Bulldog. I'm trained him well, wonderful personally, and is the little guy around.
Anyone else love Bulldog breeds? Post your buddy.

I had a few typos in there, but you get the idea.
Pic related is another good one of Beef.

Too bad, I liked the idea of brownie + cookie. Yum.

Majolos.
What is a good way to kill a stray dog?
There's this fucker in my neighborhood that has been eyeing me ever since he attacked me this winter. I only got away with a torn pair of pants and a few teeth scratches, but I'm getting tired of constantly keeping an eye on it every time I pass through there, and I have to go through there every day almost.
Now, I do have a machete and I'm a big lad, but I don't want to go full medieval in the middle of a city street. Is there a more elegant solution? Perhaps some poison I can use?
P.S. I live in Bulgaria...

Strays don't have rights asshat.
Bait the fucker with meat soaked in antifreeze, OP.
>>2124129
This sounds like a practical and fairly humane method to me.
Be sure to really douse the steak in antifreeze though, you want to make sure it ingests A LOT of it.
I wonder if there any people who hate most of the dinofags on the internet? Because i sure do.
How to spot those people:
>has a T-rex or raptor avatar
>says shit like OMG YOU KNOW THAT DINOSAURS ARE ACUALLY BIRDS? :\
>says "Ummm...you know that Pteranodon is not a dinosaur, right?" when people just discuss "prehistoric animals"
>exclusively likes Raptors. Not interested in any other dinosaur neither even knows shit about...
