What are you feeding and how big is the python? That is a long time for it to take. Mine usually takes anywhere between 10-15 minutes to eat large rats.
So a "friend" of mine owns a turtle and there's something that I've been wondering. His tank has no basking area for the turtle to lay on. Is this stressful/detrimental to the turtle? Do they require a basking area to sleep or rest on? I'm asking 4chan because I do not trust his word

Unless it's a soft shell turtle, it most definitely needs a basking area to dry off on, a heat lamp, and a UVB lamp. I own a Miniature Dachshund. Sometimes when one of my family members is holding the dog, he will growl and bark at other family members to stop them from approaching. My dogs also barks at visitors and tries to bite their toes. When I take him outside, he will start growling when others try to pet him. He always ignores other dogs he sees.
Is this normal behavior for dogs? If not, what can I do about it?

It isn't my business since I don't live there anymore, but my parents just got a kitten. Neither have taken care of cats outside of childhood.
Firstly, they intended to have the kitten declawed. There is no way around this, apparently. Neither are good about daily maintenance and I get the impression they want the cat to use the dog flap instead of a litter box. Also, considering how obese and poorly mannered their current and previous dogs are, I worry the cat will end up the same way.

What's the cheapest half-decent dog food?
I know the two don't go hand in hand, but my Dad refuses to spend "a lot" of money on his dogs. Surely, there is something out there cheap enough he'd accept it, but is at least marginally better than pic related, which is all he feeds them now.
The dogs are a 5 year old golden retriever, a 3 year old generic black mutt, and a 7 year old fat foxhound, if it matters.
