What are you feeding and how big is the python? That is a long time for it to take. Mine usually takes anywhere between 10-15 minutes to eat large rats.

1 MB,
So a "friend" of mine owns a turtle and there's something that I've been wondering. His tank has no basking area for the turtle to lay on. Is this stressful/detrimental to the turtle? Do they require a basking area to sleep or rest on? I'm asking 4chan because I do not trust his word

They need somewhere where they can come out of the water. And if he doesn't have that, he probably doesn't have a UVB bulb or heat lamp.
In short, your "friend" sounds like a typical turtle keeper.
You don't need to ask 4chan for thus stuff. Any care guide online is going to have that information.
>>
Your friend is a dumb retarded shit who doesn't know fuck about anything and takes turtle knowledge at half-assed face value. Unless it's a soft shell turtle, it most definitely needs a basking area to dry off on, a heat lamp, and a UVB lamp. Tell that retard to either use Google and care for his pet or give it to somebody who will.
>>
It is extremely detrimental to the turtle, and it will die like that.
Not quickly, of course. After months of years of slowly getting more and more deformed and eventually dying of metabolic bone disease.

What drink is your dog?

I believe my Foxhound is a smooth bourbon, or perhaps an Autumn Ale.

My Australian Cattle dog is more like a Red Stripe beer.

Man do you guys think it might be cruel to keep my cats indoors? I kinda want to just let them roam free outside. I mean yeah they might/probably will get injured and sick, but I would totally pick that over being inside all the time. Do you think I should at least offer them the choice?

I think my big hangup is that I live on the second floor of an industrial building. There are other cats in the other building that come and go as they please, but they go out of the dude's space (no problem installing a cat door, already have one inside my place between rooms) and...

42 KB,
I own a Miniature Dachshund. Sometimes when one of my family members is holding the dog, he will growl and bark at other family members to stop them from approaching. My dogs also barks at visitors and tries to bite their toes. When I take him outside, he will start growling when others try to pet him. He always ignores other dogs he sees.
Is this normal behavior for dogs? If not, what can I do about it?

330 KB,
So, /an/, can you help me prevent yet another bad pet owner story?

It isn't my business since I don't live there anymore, but my parents just got a kitten. Neither have taken care of cats outside of childhood.
Firstly, they intended to have the kitten declawed. There is no way around this, apparently. Neither are good about daily maintenance and I get the impression they want the cat to use the dog flap instead of a litter box. Also, considering how obese and poorly mannered their current and previous dogs are, I worry the cat will end up the same way.
I'd...

stop judging your parents.

they managed to keep you alive for at least 18 years, they shouldn't have any problems with a cat.

We had 2 Savannah monitors and they would both display both of their penises on occasion. If it doesn't ever do that maybe it's female?

It's worth mentioning in savannahs especially, females can evert and have it look almost exactly like hemipenes.

Also your argus is too young to really tell.

What's the cheapest half-decent dog food?
I know the two don't go hand in hand, but my Dad refuses to spend "a lot" of money on his dogs. Surely, there is something out there cheap enough he'd accept it, but is at least marginally better than pic related, which is all he feeds them now.
The dogs are a 5 year old golden retriever, a 3 year old generic black mutt, and a 7 year old fat foxhound, if it matters.
