ohio here and a spider that looked just like this crawled across my monitor
i've been having a little ant problem with the tiny ones lately was he attracted to them or is he just an asshole?
currently disorienting him with my LEDs flashing red green and blue
don't be a faggot, this isn't /b/
>>2159747
so what kill him or let him live
>>2159749
I dunno, put him outside or something. It's not like he's gonna kill all the ants. Also, follow the ants back to their nest so that you can corrode the earth around it with bleach and nuclear waste
So I just woke up with this guy in my bed after going to a party, I can't even remember how I met him or anything but I'm worried about my sexuality now I'm not gay dammit!

>hobo male
Get yourself checked, I guess
>>2159671
how do you think the spider feels
anything under six limbs is the arachnid equivalent of cp
>>2160773
Yeah, my roommates friend had sex with a hobo and he gave her the herps so get yourself checked
Hello /an/. Sad subject I would like to request your thoughts on tonight. My 5 year old castrated male cat I adopted from my family's farm may get a urinary blockage again. I've saved him twice now. Spent a ton of money, a couple thousand... ~4200 actually. I said to myself I won't do it again. I've mixed water in with his food and give him molasses every now and then.
Tldr: how do I kill my cat quickly when the time comes? Other than euthanasia at the vet. I own plenty of firearms and my family keeps some pnuneccesary darts for our cattle that my...

Strangle him while looking into his eyes until they go empty.
Thank me later.
Stop feeding him kibble. That'll way reduce his chances of getting a blockage. Switch to a canned only diet.
>>2159470
Ok. I had to do the same thing with pigs that we raised years ago. Not the eye thing though.
>>2159472
I understand this. Which is why I give him a mixed wet and dry diet. With molasses. mix the dry diet literally soaking in water so it is of even higher concentration of water then wet food..
It hates me for it.
I happened to drag this thing inside when talking a walk in the forest. Took this pic before putting it back outside. Can anyone here identify it? Some kind of larva?
Location is northern Europe.
>>2159362
Some kind of beetle larvae, maybe?
>>2159366
After googling around a bit, I'm pretty sure it's some kind of lacewing larva. I'm not sure which exact species it is, though.
Pic is from the web.
its a Chrysopidae larvae
Post your dogs, /an/.
This is Minnie. She just had her 7th birthday the other day.
>>2159349
Brighter pic.
This is my pitbull, Brutus.
She's turning 1 next week.
>>2159352
>pit bull
Um, that looks more like a chocolate lab, anon.
There are these folks who live up the road who have a rather significantly sized pitbull. Most of the time it seems to sleep inside, but occasionally it will be outdoors in the early morning when I'm running.
This becomes a problem for me because their fence is about 2 feet tall and the dog leaps that shit like Superman. And of course, if I'm the proximity, it makes a bee line for me and only seems to stop short if I do the "AHH! AHH!" loud noise song and dance.
I like dogs. But I'm not super familiar with them because I'm broke,...

They're obviously garbage human beings. Poison that dog, barricade their doors/windows and burn the house down.
I don't know if this dog would actually bite, but maybe ask around your neighborhood to see what others think about it and if they've heard of it biting anyone.
>go up to these strangers and tell them to keep their dog tied up?
Either that or tell the cops about them (ask that you stay anonymous) to get them to keep it on leash or else. A potentially dangerous dog like that should not be allowed to roam free.
Carry mace or pepper spray and light that doggy up. Make sure it's owners know you had to do this, and will be calling the authorities next time it happens if you get injuries. Tell them to expect a lawsuit for your pain and suffering, as the dogs owners they are ultimately responsible for its actions. Hold them accountable OP. Good luck.

Well, at least the firsf can help clean up the house

The second dog sounds like he's got it figured out.
i need some help with my pupper. He's extremely nervous and frightened when meeting strangers. His normal reaction is to put his hair up and bark from a distance, but his reaction can vary anywhere from simply avoiding the stranger to even growling. He is extremely easy to startle when he's like this.
I've been taking him on walks to expose him to people, and I tell them to pretend like he's not there. Then once he accepts them, I try to give him a treat. Here's where the problem occurs.
Once he stops being afraid, he's so freaking excited to meet the person i can't give him the treat. He goes right into hyper mode, ears back, tail wagging so hard he can't even walk right, and licking hands/faces.
it's been five months and he hasn't made any progress.
Some things I've noticed about his behavior:
If it's a large group of people, he wont be nervous or scared.
If there's a friendly dog around he wont even notice people. When he finally does, it takes half a second to sniff them and then he accepts them.
if it's an unfriendly dog, he will still warm up to a person faster, just not instantly.
his nervousness decreases when a person crouches down.
Some times he has an 'intermediate' phase between fear and acceptance, where he isn't frightened of a stranger, but is tense. Things can easily send him back to being afraid (like baby talking, or being too excitable)
I've thought about using another dog as a training tool, since he accepts people almost instantly with one around, but I just don't know how to reward him since he gets too excited to take a treat and praise alone doesn't seem to be working.
When will my kitten be old enough to sleep with me at night, or at least be chill enough to not wake me up by running around and jumping on me? She's about four months old and will sit on my lap for up to an hour when she's in the right mood, so I'm feeling pretty confident that she'll grow up to be a cuddler, but I'd just like an idea of when I can expect her to calm down a little more.
Maybe never
>>2157878
Okay, when will she be old enough for me to know either way?
>>2157879
How long is she going to live?
An exotic pet store opened up near me and I'm considering getting one. Does anyone on /an/ have any idea how to take care of one?
Oh boy
Fuck you
>>2157636
Leave various fruit in its crate and see what it likes to eat. Feed it that. Sloths don't need a lot of attention as they're solitary animals.
How much money should I prepared to spend as a monthly and initial cost (excluding fixing and adopting) a kitten?
Depends on quality of life and age. My cat of 2 weeks cost like 60 bucks a week for the kitten formular and had a large cost for buying all the stuff. From the point where it would be a normal kotten (like 8 weeks) it was relatively cheap, 15 dollars or so for food and litter.
Initial coat is just a bed and a litter box really, maybe a few toys and a scratching pole, so about 100
>>2157483
But you're forgetting perhaps the most expensive thing with all pets.
>Medical costs
If you don't think of this or you can't afford throwing out $500 on a vet bill, you can't afford any pet.
>>2157486
Id assume that was included in adoption, as well as mixro chipping.
Really medical costs depend on if its an indoor or outdoor cat as well. For indoor cats you have barely a thing except annual vet check ups if thats your thing
This dog came into the animal hospital I work at today.
The process of before, results, and after removing all the ticks.

How often do you get cases of that?

That code doesn't work
>>2160657
Honestly, op? lol
Nothing better than cats suffering. It's divine retribution every time one dies a slow painful death.
>>2160657
Does your local vet has an emergency line?
Hope kitty will be ok
I have a female kitten who is about four months old, and I'm considering getting her a friend. After she got used to me, she became very comfortable around me, loves to be held and petted, spend time with me, will jump up on my desk when I'm at it, etc. This is kind of a selfish question, but if I get another kitten, will they bond more closely with each other leaving her less eager to spend time around me?
I'm sure she'll be able to work you into her busy schedule
Besides, as you already seem to know, having one cat only is so far from ideal in my opinion, that you have to do it. Even if you are a shut-in like me. They need cat friends. Get new kitteh anyway!
It's entirely possible they will never bond and just sort of regard each other's existence with indifference.
Cats are territorial so she most likely won't welcome a new cat.
You'll need at least one additional litter box.
