I am planning to get a dog in the near future! I live in an apartment and work from home. This will not be my first dog, but It will be my first dog in an apartment building.
I guess I have two concerns:
1. that I will get a very noisy dog that upsets the other tenants in my building
2. that I will get a dog that is upset by living in a major city with lots of people.
Does anybody have any advice on where to start and what to look for?

For #1:
Avoid; Beagles, basset hounds, Jack r. terrier, keeshond, maltese, basically most terriers and hounds and toy breeds.
Research on google, top quiet breeds. That's the reason I got a Shiba Inu.
For #2:
You really just need to socialize the dog very well by taking it to those kinds of places OFTEN. Socialize that little shitter from day one as much as possible, then it'll be smooth sailing.
I'd recommend getting a lab as they are very friendly, or a goldie.

These kennel club sites can also help you learn more about breeds you are interested in and you can pick your ideal.

An apartment dog would ideally be a smaller breed so it doesn't feel enclosed in a tighter space than a large breed would.
Having a small dog also means less food to feed, so you'd save money.
And also means you don't have to go on hour long runs just to get their appropriate amount of energy.

I want to donate some food and toys to my local animal shelter. I have a budget of 100 dollars. How far can I stretch it? where can I go that might be willing to add extra food and stuff?
Ask your local shelter what they need. Some even accept old clothes or handmade dog beds, but shelters typically have some sort of 'wish list' of things they need the most. Also ask about what they won't accept.

In our shelter most usefull donations are by order:
1-Dry Food
2-Food Cans
3-Lesmania Medication
4-Actual money to buy more expensive things that are not obtainable with donations (f.e a clothes washing machine), medicines, vets, mandatory shots, chip and sterilisation of our cats and dogs.
5-Old Clothes and towels and cat beds (dogs love to destroy that stuf whrn playing together, and most cats hate to share)
6-Toys for cats and dogs.

Okay so basically I got a kitten about 2weeks ago, she is 7 or 8 weeks old now. (Pic related)
The first day I got her she was quite timid as expected, hiding from me and such so I slowly introduced her to the whole house over the following week. I've been socialising her lots and trying to have friends play and cuddle with her while they're over and she has opened up a lot.
So the problem I've been having is that sometimes she lashes out and starts biting me whilst making 'woofing' noises like a sharp exhale out her mouth.

Any veterinarians here? my cat was diagnosed with pneumonia, stayed two days in the clinic and when I got him back his leg was soft kinda like a inanimate plush doll, I waited 3 days and took him there again asking for a explanation and they told me that due to his lack of oxygen from the pneumonia his leg didn't get enough blood or some shit like that.
