hey /toy/, I recently discovered that there is a collector market for sofubi nowadays. Ever since I was a kid I've loved sparkly/transparent/glow in the dark silicone figurines and thought I would try my hand at making some. I am a glassblower by trade and in the future wanted to make molds for a couple of my designs, but the question is, is it worth it? I'd appreciate if you could post any of your favorite figures and point out what makes them valuable and appealing compared to others, I plan on making them as a hobby if I cannot market the idea. Thank you!

I personally have not seen many well done ball jointed vinyl figures. Even if its just a neck, shoulder or waist, I feel like it adds a lot to the figure. I have no idea if this works well with vinyl at all, but there's my shitty input.

Is there anyway to fix pic related. I have OCD and it's annoying the fuck out of me. I got the piece for free but it's an expensive piece to replace and I can't paint for shit. Any ideas or do I just have to succumb to the torment and wait until I stop noticing it?

Ok guys. So, I took my thinker from the shelf, and when I tried to rotate his head, the joint broke. How bad did I fucked up? Is there a way to fix? Maybe buy another head? Pls help!

The joint is fucked beyond repair.
You'll need to heat up the neck piece (with boiling water or a hairdryer) and try to pry out the broken peg without damaging the surrounding area where the peg goes in.
Take out the other half of the joint from the head with some tweezers or something.
It's going to need a new joint. You can't buy 'another head' without getting any entirely new figure, the head isn't the thing that's broken.
Nendo or Figma, what's more likely for this glorious character?
Goodsmile has to have him coming since they did Nendo Kirby & Meta Knight is coming. However, I think a Figma figure would better suit him due to his size.

What if it were an led black light? I'm aware of florescent lights damaging everything, but I want to be sure if like your average light that something like one of the LED black lights will not cause any sort of damage, that or one of these things.

Regardless, you'll still be able to file a Paypal case if they end up screwing you over.
That said, when did these pre-orders open up? I thought Shocker Toys went defunct or something.
It's through GBJR, the Shocker "successor", and I get the feeling these order pages went up in 2014-2015, before the "lost" the steel molds. Then they found them but the licensors wanted more money and they did a kickstarter then Geoff fled with the money.
How do people who do this avoid prosecution?
Shocker toys still disappoints me, I really wish Marvel Toys survived and Legendary comic book heroes continues. Most of the things Shocker toys got their hands on where things I wanted LCBHs to get.

There's some feminine LBX characters. LBX is also generally cheap. If she likes Pokemon there are some simple kits. Other than that maybe model vehicles. And upcoming Figure-Rise Dragonball, plus those static busts for Gundam humans.
