You know, I don't particularly like this design, but I was getting Shin Getter and its weapons set, and since Mazinkaiser gets weapons from the same set, I figured I'd pick it up as well.
And out of the box it looked gorgeous. But then I tried swapping the hands. The double ball joints on it are so shit, that they went with the hands instead of staying in the wrists, and when I finally got the double ball out of the hand and attempted to plug it back into the wrist, the fucking cup for the ball joint in the wrist broke in two and fell out, leaving me unable to put a fucking hand on the figure at all. This was WITHIN MINUTES OF TAKING IT OUT OF THE PACKAGE.
Are all SRCs this shit? I haven't received Getter yet and I'm seriously thinking about sending it back for a refund.

I had the exact same problem with my Mazinkaiser. Every other SRC I've bought has been fantastic aside from minor QC issues that were known to me prior to purchasing. I think this is one of those common issues. I ended up gluing it on the wrist side so it's at least still single jointed.

And I don't think Mazinkaiser is shit. I own the first release, changed its hands, and nothing broke. Maybe it was a problem with yours.

Not OP, but guy who said he had the same issue. Funny you mention that yours was first release and didn't have the problem, mine was the reissue like OP's and *did*. Maybe only a problem with the most recent run
It's been a while since I've seen a discussion of our Grail /toy/s. So, what's in your personal holy grail category, and have you gotten any of them? Don't regress into a shitstorm of "you like - i don't", if you don't like something, that's fine. But remember that's someones most wanted item. I just ordered one of my grails: The Goon series 1 figures entire lineup.

Well, last i checked, Johnny the Ball was about 15 eurobucks on ebay, the goon was 60 something, the build-afigure zombie was 50-80 depending on whether it's complete. The prices wary a LOT. I got a lucky break and got the whole lineup out of boxes with 60 shipped. The Good guys are better articulated and cheaper than johnny the ball, but zombie priest is very good aswell. Frankie has the most fun poses available, but his legs are very static posed. I'll post pictures if the thread is alive when they arrive. Might post somewhere anyway.

Is there a cheaper alternative to schleich? I was going to purchase a horse barn for a christmas present but it was going to be $250+. For some painted plastic that probably cost $10 to make. That company must have some incredible profit margins.

Schleich are pretty good quality compared to other figures in the same range.
As a kid getting a Schleich figure was, just like a Steiff stuffed toy, something special.
I'm German though, so I might be biased.
Of course there are cheaper alternatives, you are just trying to get animal figures/a horse barn. Just shop around, there is no special company for that.

I just broke figma Ryuko's wrist. The peg broke off in the hand and the ball is stuck in the arm. Tweezers and a tight grip don't seem to be working. Any tips?

Try pliers. The joint is broken anyways and you have that extra wrist joint they provided in the box. You still have that, right?

Well I'm back /Toy/ I doubt anyone truly missed me. I was away for a while and couldn't really post anything,so I had to wait on doing that and in the waiting the little
haul I had in the beginning just grew and grew.
being that I was travelling I couldn't really do anything with the stuff I bought while I was on the road also I was buying stuff off Ebay and having it shipped home so it would be there when I got back.
I was home in time to see Age of Ultron and
then gone for a couple of months then back in time for Ant-Man and then gone again. I had returned home around the first of September and by that time it was Force Friday and I added that to my already large haul. I then had to go again from say mid sept until around the end of October and have been home since.
So this basically is everything that I ended up purchasing this Summer and into the Fall (April-October) I had the pictures on the
computer since the end of October and just kept saying "I need to post that" but every time I tried to set time to do it something else would come up so here it then finally, better late then never.
