I had a small purple one, he was incredibly fun until he got tangled beyond repair. Iirc there were a few different sizes, from 20cm~ to the size of a small child. There were bootlegs too.
Around the same time there was this hand puppet bird plush that was everywhere for a bit. It had a large yellow/orange beak which you controlled with you hand, and squeaked like a dying crow when you squeezed it.
I still have a burn mark on the back of my hand from when 5 yr old me decided to iron my bird while my hand was inside the puppet.

HLJ isn't like that, they actually like doing business with gaijins and will gladly accept a cancellation. They'll simply put your cancelled order up for preorder again like a reasonable company would.

What do you recommend for this sort of thing? I know hairdryers are common, but what do you do once you heat up? Just hold it in place with your hands or what?

Your best bet would be to find your local collectors. Assuming you're not in a major city, you can try searching Facebook with key words such as "toys" and "your country name" and you'll probably find the local collectors. From there, you can get info on where all the "secret" shops in your town/city are or get toys shipped to you from your local major city for the added cost of local shipping.
Also depending on where you are, weaboo toys may be the better alternative to westaboo stuff. But I figure you're into western properties, so yeah, find your local collectors.

So my first experience at the Lego Store was very pleasant. Got my King's Mech and promo pack. Pick-a-Brick was lacking anything exciting. Unfortunately also the Klinkers Mixels were sold out. I needed that Jinxy.
Does anyone with the King's Mech also have an issue with the right arm not wanting to stay up due to weight on the joint? I didn't know if it was a defective balljoint or just design flaw.

I remember having this set around 2005 (might have been an older one cause I can't remember it coming with any minifigs aside from Boba Fett), it should definitely fit in a Detolf lying flat, though it will probably have to go in at a similar angle as the one in your pic.

Don't do that. Glass isn't black, you're supposed to see through it.
