So I've had second thoughts on buying a figure from Amiami and want to cancel the order but I just found out they don't do cancellations. Have any of you guys ever canceled an order from Amiami? I'm planning on buying more stuff from them and have an order coming at the end of the month. The figure I want to cancel doesn't come out til August so there shouldn't really be an issue right?

You can cancel as long as you have a good reason. They won't be happy about it.

Amiami is great as long as you're sure of your purchases. If you're new to shopping with them I wouldn't dick around with cancellations. If you contact them regarding a cancellation and be polite they're usually understanding enough, but they still don't like it and might be less forgiving if you're never bought much from them before.
I'd say either make up your mind, or go to HLJ for the item.
If it's your first time, they might allow it if you send them a polite email. But don't make a habit of it or they'll ban your account.

I don't mean to make this some sort of troll thread where people post moderately popular toys that you just think are shitty. Or even a thread intended for shitty toys in general. Its more for wondering just why people would dedicate so much time an energy to something that doesn't seem like it'd sell well, or have a really niche audience, and doesn't seem all that appealing beyond that.
Like this. I know Bayformers has its fans, but do people even like this Starscream? Can you even tell what's going on in this image? I get spending $30-50 on a retail version of a toy of this design, but $400 on something from a Michael bay movie? Who'd want this nasty thing as a centerpiece of a display?

It's a shame because these are by all accounts some of the best items ThreeA's made in recent years. Really amazingly engineered and painted, very much premium high-end collectables justifying the price tag.
But as you say, I can't wrap my head around anyone with an ounce of taste wanting the Bayformers designs front and centre in their collections. I guess there must be at least 500 people out there who do though, or they wouldn't still be making these.

Bayformers are impressive design-wise, tho. Translating organic functionality to machinery, playing with the position of the vehicle mode's parts, and coming up with recognizable silhouettes from that kind of aesthetic and shit.
Only reason people dislike them is NOT MUH TRANSFORMERS.

I've done product ad and review videos. You don't see dick all but the product. That's the point.
You don't need to do it in one cut. I don't need to see you fidget and screw up posing for a minute. Just cut to it displayed properly.
I never saw one figuart school girl figure that looked good.
At best it was "ok", like the Maki Love Live figuarts. But it looks like shit when compared to the Maki figma.
