He's based on an April Fools' design, iirc. People liked it, they decided to make a new figure.
Also, D-arts X is pretty much perfect. Expensive now, but there's definitely a good figure of X and no reason to make another
I was listening to a podcast a few months ago (Can't remember the exact episode) and they were talking about an American video game convention that had guys in wrestling masks fighting with spinning tops.

I tink the problem is that we have many lines now (RG - Re/100 and this Iron blood 1/100. All of this eating the manpower to produce more MG (also starwars)
Bandai is running low on "Safe" releases for the MG line and are slowing down on regular MG releases as a result.
MG are much more risky than hg and rg due to their price. So they are carefull about what they release in MG, which is why outside of UC kits they are mostly just the lead gundams and feature a lot of frame reuse in recent years. However, bandai are running low on designs they consider to be safe and are unwilling to release more risky designs as regular releases, so they are slowing down on releases for the line as a result.

Close enough, our drone strikes typically kill non-targets 90% of the time. It's nice that as long as the dead are males of at least teenage age, they can be written off as combatants.

I don't really collect video games, I get them to play them but once I finished playing them I sell them for the next game. I do collect comics, but the industry is slowing to a crawl, so is my own collecting.
Used to "collect" shoes, clothes and yugioh cards.
I've stopped them all in favor of going full swing with toys.

From various plumbing repairs, I am in possession of a few tubes of silicone caulk. With how this material dries, I was wondering if it is possible to use this stuff as mold making or casting material for custom toy projects. And if so, what advice and or precautions do I need to proceed?

It's possible in the most basic fashion, but you'd be foolish to waste your time.
Silicone caulk and casting silicone are of different viscosities. The Silicone caulk would layer as you pile it in and trap bubbles, making for near worthless molds. Conversely, proper mold making silicone would instead come out as a thin poured stream that would build up gradually and in a controlled fashion, reducing bubbles almost entirely.

I'm finally getting into action figures, and I want my first buy to be an EVA Unit 01 figure. I can't decide, I want one that's taller than six inches, and has the basic accessories one would expect from an EVA. I can't decide to save my life
