The Xovergen Godbomber was just kick in the nuts man.
The Super Ginrai mode is okay at best and really couldn't complain at the time since no one else was doing it.
But when they released Godbomber and couldn't even combine with Super Ginrai with ACTUAL Ginrai in it that was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Sold my Henkei Prime (Ginrai) and the trailer as well like a hot potato before most people figured it out.

Random thoughts: anyone thinking Hasbro is forcing them to wrap shit up, at least in terms of MTMTE's being forced to wrap up their storylines, to get ready for a big push for Titans War and it dominating the series in a couple of months?
In the last couple of issues, MTMTE:
1. Revealed that Dominus was the DJD's pet fox and had some super-duper bullshit where after whining about finding him endlessly, Rewind suddenly decides to kill Dominus AND maim Chromedrome?
2. Overlord showing up with ZERO build-up, presumably to kill him off once and for all
3. Tarc and the DJD shitheads finally having a fight with the MTMTE cast
4. Tarc's bullshit mystery identity garbage no one cares about because Tarc is a shitty character even worse than Drift in the OC Don't Steal department
5. The cast being culled to around ten, with the mutiny storyline getting rid of the dead weight cast wise.
We got Sentinel Prime coming up on deck, we know that from the previews; am I the only one thinking they will be sending the MTMTE guys that were betrayed by Getaway to Earth to pad out the Earth force while moving Prime and the main TF book back to Cybertron for more intrigue with the council?

For the longest time Tripredacus and Magnaboss where considered some of the best combiners. Rail Racer still holds up really well, with the unfortunate aspect of the member that forms the leg portion . And armada Perceptor was one of the tightest designs in armada. RiD's Build team isn't that bad either. I don't think it has a bad a track record as you think.

All in all, its amazing we got as much as we did in a year, especially considered it took a few years to get all them in G1(and a lot of them before 87 where already designed and didn't take much work to produce. Again that is not any different from MTMTE first finale where Pharma showed up from nowhere. It's literally the same format, a trinity of villains fighting the heroes who are now isolated and on their own.

Helex:maybe could be done at voyager size: A double walled tube with LEDs in the innermost tube. Between the 2 walls put some orange goop and small bits of plastic that look like crushed circuit boards. pressing down on a button lights the LEDs and turns the tube. If has/tak wanted to go cheaper, skip the tube and just mold a clear orange plastic cylinder with "junk" and "flowing molten metal" molded into it, but keep the LEDs Mount the whole thing on a cement truck and design it so that the smelter becomes Helex's torso.

Actually, Insecticons were Bumblebee height, and were pretty consistently portrayed as the smallest Decepticons, usually around the relative height of a Autobot minicar.
So when they happen, Masterpiece Insecticons won't be very big.
