Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>Check the BST threads, My Figure Collection for any offer/deal

The S shape is always good advice though. The basic idea is that straight lines tend to look stiff.

I really wanna get a Yo-Kai Watch and I'm curious, is there any major difference between the American release and the Japanese DX version? Looks like the American one comes with a Whisper Medal instead of Dismerelda, but other than that, they look exactly the same. And I assume any sound effects/names are American and not Japanese (Obviously)
13 replies and 1 images submitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>5388108

Well, that and the fact that the Japanese medals dont seem to work with the American game (Which makes sense), so either way I'm gonna have to buy the American one anyway, so nvm
>>
>>5388108
>people are actually buying these
jesus christ this is actually going to catch on here isnt it?
>>
The American watch doesn't have the flashlight that the Japanese one has (although it still makes the sound when you hold the button down), has no hinges for the wristband, and is hella loud. It also doesn't accept Japanese medals since the tracks are left-aligned. Other than that, though, it's a pretty good toy if you want a watch with the American names/music or just don't care either way. It's worth it for the price that it's at.

40 KB,
So I just received a NECA Tyrael in the mail. I have had a suspicion that it could be a bootleg, though I am not sure.

The card in the packaging looked like it could have been printed on a cheap printer because the text was slightly fuzzy. Also, when I took the figure out, it smelled very strongly, which I have heard is a sign that a figure could be a bootleg.

What I am wondering is, has anyone else had these issues with theirs, or is there a good chance that this could be a bootleg?

FYI, it was ordered from Amazon.

>>5388451
Have you previously opened a clamshelled NECA figure? It usually does smell pretty strongly so it isn't too surprising if you've never smelled one before. As for the text it's been a while since I opened wave 1 so I couldn't tell you. And maybe wave 2 changed. There shouldn't be bootlegs though. At least not yet.
>>
>>5388460
Alright, thanks. With that in mind, this might actually be the real deal then. I don't see any other noticeable flaws so I could just be freaking out for no reason.
>>
>>5388478
I'd be very surprised if there were bootlegs of this figure out already. Weird smells are not uncommon with action figures.

He's a pretty neat figure, but his elbow articulation really could have been better. I'm trying to figure out a way to mod it to allow a little more movement, but fuck if that armor doesn't make it difficult.

Die cast doesn't ever guarantee a good product.

Paint scratches off easily on metal parts and joints go loose fast.

I know everyone else has done this already
and I'm being a bit of a slowpoke on this myself. I would have done it earlier if I could but with the holidays being so busy and then getting back to normal life alter New Years I just didn't have the time. So anyway this is all the Toy related stuff received for Christmas.
Also my Holist of Grails has been achieved this Christmas as well the Lara Croft and the Guardians of Light statue/figure. It was an amazing feeling
finally getting it. Anyway I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas.

that's not surprising, being from what I heard on here the OP is actually a woman.
that's the rumor at lease.
It does explain a lot especially their shit taste in toys. It's all the garbage a chick who knows nothing about toys would buy in order to appear cool and trendy.
If it's true I bet the OP is one of those girls who is the "fake gamer girl" types and who cosplays purely for the male attention.

91 KB,
Hey /toy/otas, like the subject said, what do you think is the best or your personal favourite Skeletor toy?

I'm thinking about picking up a few of the 200X Skeletor figures because i think they look really cool. I don't know much about Master of the Universe, i've never seen a full episode in my life, but from what i've seen i am completely infatuated with how metal the actual setting seems.

Just to be certain, does anyone know if the 200X figures are 6"? And are there any others that would be worth also picking up?

The 200X figures have limited articulation, but the sculpts are really detailed. They have some really cool aspects to them, and you can find them pretty cheap at flea markets, at least in my experience. They fall just under six inches though, at least looking at it. Here is a scale pic with animated series joker and Illidan. Gotta love the weird color schemes they did later on.

whaTS the deal withj the filmation figures? all I keep seeing is you need to buy a subcription and it sounds like you can't just buy one figure and instead have to buy them all?
