Is she pregnant or something? Did she finally marry Ken or is she strong independent womyn who don't need no man?
So, as an artist, my big aspiration (for now and however long it takes for it to pass) is to get good at sculpting, specifically action-figure type sculpting.
Do any of you have any guides or tutorials from people in the industry? I'm curious about what materials, tools and methods sculptors use when they make figures. I thought since you lot seem to be heavily into this kind of thing, you might have stumbled across something like this before.
Thanks!

Buy joints, built the parts out of polymer clay. If you need finer detail, use denser material like epoxy.
What the fuck do you call these? anyway My "flex'em" Kurt Angle was the shit, despite (or mayhap because) he ridiculously large and firm mantitties

Post your custom projects here; mods, fixes, repaints, dios, effects parts, accessories, 3D printed stuff, or whatever else you're working on.
Offer tips and advice, ask for help, post tutorials/guides, and have fun!
Here's some tips from the previous threads:
Beginners: practice on cheap figures first.
For sculpting on figures: use 2-part epoxy putty like Aves apoxie or fixit.
For tools: try a basic carving/sculpting set like the kind arts & crafts stores have, and calipers for symmetry.
Dental tools have also been said to work well.
Also, using a Dremel is recommended. Minimites (the small $20-25 ones) are fine for starting out, but the battery life is poor. Upgrade to a corded
one only if you want to get deeper into customizing. They are useful...

???
Daibadi tweeted images of their test run of grey Shamrock and Clover-looks like everything's ready for this run and the rerun of Yume.
>>5707375
so what are these things? I don't quite understand. just posing dolls? or are they from a thing? are they supposed to be modded like a model kit?
I'm kinda bummed that I won't be able to get Clover gray this month. I was really looking forward to finally picking up a Polynian.
>>5707386
No, they're characters from a VN. I'm pretty sure the VN is just to promote the figures, though. Daibadi also makes model kits and Shamrock was originally one, but these are not.
We started with nude robots, but now we're getting more clothed ones.

Well I'm going to need these. Never bought a ThreeZero anything before... Am I in for disappointment? I told myself if these boys got 12" figures from someone I'd buy 'em though.

Are there any good toys of Mazinger that actually have the blue arms and legs with white limbs? Most of the ones made recently are all black with chrome, but the OG colors have always been my favorite.
So what's the best one around? I'm sure there's a ton of special edition SRCs and SOCs I don't know about.
Mechanic Collection Mazinger Z if you can handle a model kit without killing yourself like some sort of retard.
>>5745022
Oh shit, that's exactly what I was looking for!
Perfect, thanks for the answer!
>>5745032
You got it, babe. Getting one might be a bit expensive though, it's been out of print for many moons.
You weren't planning on buying import toys, were you citizen? Especially not at an unofficial convention in Canada. Don't you want Hasbro to update your favorite character?
Old thread >>5742462

I mean, buying Takara is still supporting the Transformers brand. Whichever way you go, the money is all going into the same hands.

I got the red Tamers one back in like, 2002 while in japan. You could do that card swiping shit
>>5744260
Had the american red one, trashed it all to hell. My grandma got me this one at china town when we went, I was young as hell. It comes in a bigger box with the base. About two years ago when she sold her house and moved out, I found it still in the box, still in the bag.
Not sure what I did with the blue one, but I still have the red Protoman version, and the Mega Man version of the Progress PET.
I was so disappointed when the Protoman wasn't the actual Navi in his PET, why the fuck was it Mega Man when he already had his own.
Indiana was never the same after Crystal Skull...
>>5744090
Indy no, let the gay man be. Its not wrong to have weird feelings for a handsome man in a pink dress
>>5744097
Do you not see Indy's thousand yard stare? He hates him.
>>5744090
This is interestingly creepy. If only you could swap Ken's head with something more sad.
Does /toy/ know where I could get cheap plastic versions of classical pieces of art? The scale isn't important to me, but I'm looking to chop them up and use them in a sort-of post apocalyptic diorama.

I'm aware of them. They don't really fit the bill because of their points of articulation. They're also kind of expensive.
I guess I should have specified that I need them as a single piece to work with them.
