I meant the ratchet joints, but yeah, him coming with Ratchet is actually a bonus too. I have an almost full CW G1 lineup with him.

That was a joke

Shit. What other sites still have them up?
>>5742496
Just wait for them to hit shops.
>>5742496
Sometimes people will cancel orders during order stop, when they release you might be ok.
Otherwise stalk mandarake, someone will sell up because of a scuff on their precious box
>>5742462
Has this been pointed out yet?
Scourge and Highbrow share hips. Looks like HasTak is moving Transformers towards a buck system.
What are the Bravest headmasters revealed so far?
I used to have a KO Might Gaine toy I used as an OC villain and I want to bring him back as a headmaster.

>>5742584

>>5742618
I don't think he was complaining. It' just much harder to see the parts reuse on them compared to Blurr or Getaway.
I'm really interested to see what they do with the Decepticons in terms of remolds/redecos. I personally want Weirdwolf and Mindwipe (or Doublecross) into Horri-bull and Fangry
>Be happy I got hasbro fort max
>Premium collectables has the SDCC version cheaper than what I paid
>Still have receipt
>Have yet to fully remove fort max from box
Fuck it, pre-ordered that, didn't think they'd get him, that sword for that price wins!
But tell me, how many people would seriously consider keeping the stock hasbro cerebros head and return regular hasbro fort max?
I admit its tempting, the fort max body is still in the box and the cerebros head sits inside the neck joint, you wouldn't know its missing until you free the whole thing
Anyone know any online stores that accept payment with multiple cards? Want to pay for fort max but don't have enough funds on one card. Can't do paypal, don't have a bank account that I can link.
>>5742648
First of all what country, second is price a factor or are you willing to pay outrageous shipping/cost to use such a service, third are these credit cards bank cards with mastercard/visa functions or gift cards?
These are all relevant questions so I can help, if you're in the right country that is
>>5742648
Email and ask? I've never heard of such a thing and I expect a lot of retailers will think you're running some kind of scam
>>5742648
I can't think of anywhere that does that does that on its own, but if you called up customer support they might be able to help you out.
Alternatively, you could go find a place that will allow you to buy a prepaid Visa using multiple cards.
>>5742653
Us, im a grad student with little to no income and this is a splurge for me. They're prepaid visa's and I don't know any online stores that accept google wallet, which is the only thing I can think of
>>5742660
Dang, if you were in Australia premium collectables has zippay options (allows for part payments per month) though having never used zippay not sure exactly if that works by account or whatnot, signing up would give the run down, I know they have free shipping if over $100aud spent and allows for international shipping but not sure if it changes for international users.
Either somehow see if you can repurchase a whole card with those cards like >>5742657
suggested, ask friends and or family if they want to swap with outright cash so you can just put all of the amount onto a full card or maybe consider waiting on the second hand market when you have the actual cash.
Good luck otherwise
>>5742664
I'll just buy another card and load it sing these two I guess
>Be a decepticon
>See this
What do?
Its a bit of a shame he only has slight color touch ups, a sword, and new head for cerebros as well as metallic injected red for the knees.
Still cheaper overall than the hasbro release for me, cheaper as in more shit and a bit more effort

With Devastator it was six figures that combine, plus I got him slightly on special, but it's not so easy to do the mental gymnastics required to justify paying $250+ for a single toy. Importing him wouldn't be any cheaper because customs fees hit you on shit that big.

Question, what is the connection port on head megatron like?
I'm curious if it'll work on the new fort max, I doubt it but worth a look
>>5742705
There isn't one. It rests there via happenstance and coincidence. There's no real connection.
>This is a One of a kind piece by Frenzy Rumble Fortress Maximus. Lots of work went into to this piece. Using a Metroplex piece plus comes with a transformable Cerebros as well. The paint scheme is very realistic looking as well. Truly a work of art. Most importantly comes with the huge Fortress Sword. Piece is completely customized . Good luck. Comes exactly how you see in the pictures. Only used for display. The ramps are retractable, and the tower opens up to expose the "docking bay" for planes to land on. There's lots of little cool features on this custom, like the LED laser light that's a lamp post in city mode, but attached to the city mode's crane and forms a giant kick ass gun for the robot mode.
I also painted up 5 minicons, these guys were a paint to transform and detail. tiny tiny brush did the trick. I will have more pics on my site very soon, including close ups of the minicon robot modes.

>>5742853
Small percent. Really small.
>>5742853
At this point, KO's of things like masterpieces etc seem to be of such a good quality standard that its not really worth caring anymore unless your anal about legitimacy, which I wont fault you for as it's a fairly valid complaint but still, I think there is a point for everyone where they give in and accept the KO for the sake of availability and pricing.
I mean, if I saw a KO correct-size or upscaled [downscaling is a no go for me with this specific circumstance] Liokaiser, I'd fucking buy that shit before you could ask me if I wanted to.

While we knew it was coming first as part of a SDCC exclusive set, there was an assumption that he would also get an individual release. However, an older interview with Hasbro surfaced on our boards with them saying that this Blurr retool was currently only planned to be available in this exclusive box set and would not be sold individually. The issue there is the reason I can't let myself though, chrome started wearing at the end of the exhaust parts on the arms, and that'd be fine if the plastic underneath was black or grey or something but its actually orange, which would look real weird if I let it continue to wear.

Iron Man is a garbage character that nobody gave a shit about before the movies. Claiming to be an Iron Man fan is like saying "I am a huge casual and proud of it."
>>5743166
Oh don't get me wrong the character is shit, I just like the SHF Iron Man figures.
Long before the Great Autobot-Decepticon Civil War, there was a female scientist working in the protoforms nursery. She was just an average white collar doing basic maintenace. However, she was fascinated about how the protoforms came to be. Those protoforms who will become Cybertronian citizens. She wanted to be more involved in the creation process so she started studying. However, she barely finished some studies when the bombs rained down on the factory, killing everyone but leaving the poor fembot badly damaged.
That war was an abobination. No way she'll take either side, both being as horrible as the next. So, she remained a pure Cybertronian.
Years, centuries, millenia of pointless conflicts between the Autobots and Decepticons laid waste to Cybertron. All the while, the Protoform Scientist repaired and heavily modified her body. And she studied. She experimented. She stated modifying some protoform to see if it would make something greater than a Bot or Con. It failed horribly. Still, she DID somehow created life. So, she named herself MOTHER, forgetting her old name. Learning from her mistakes, she worked even harder and did many experiments. She now had two more sons. Both had a mission. To go to both warring factions to be her eyes and hears. Both invented themselves a character to play and went away. One to the Autobots, one to the Decepticons. Her sons relayed precious intel for her research.
When the war went to Earth and other organic planets, this gave Mother so many ideas. Some dangerous ideas. Ideas that would change Cybertron forever and maybe, just maybe, put an end to this senseless conflict.
>>5743168
Eh, that's valid. I'm not a fan of the design but he's simple enough to be a regular generic robot character and the mechanical design hides articulation that'd be more noticeable on regular human figures.
>>5743171
Mother took a very powerful altmode to take on anything that would threaten her and her experiments. No matter if the threat is :BOT: or :CON: . This Cybertronian mobile battle station will crush everything and everyone that stand in Mother's way!
>>5743139
And I thought I was bad with money.
>>5743178
Mother, having learned much about genetics and how the organics reproduce, did the unthinkable.
>>5743181
She modified herself enough to be able to do what no Cybertronian ever thought possible.
>>5743178
Oh man I remember when that guy was in the Customs General and bitches that no one complimented his weird sex fantasy custom.
>>5743183
Carring a growing life inside of her. Being a TRUE MOTHER.
Mother is pregnant. Pregnant of what she hope will be the ultimate leader to bring the Autobots and Decepticons back together at last!
It will take a long time. But Mother is patient.

As one of the guys who chased him out of the customs general this is hilarious. He was a lunatic only looking for compliments. Dude bumped the thread at least twice after his photo dump and kept saying shit like "is no one going to comment on my custom?" so I finally said it was not very cohesive. He flipped out and started ranting about how he was a tortured genius or some shit so people started calling him a moron and an autist until he left.

>>5743190
This guy's customs are so bad. I have trouble believing this fag isn't just some elaborate troll, holy shit.
>>5743206
I don't know why people bother trying to make custom Transformers. The play pattern does not suit it; it'll either not be able to transform at all or will eventually scrape off all the paint in the process.
Maybe I'm just too practical about these things. If it can't stand up to the stresses of normal usage then I don't really see the point. If you're just looking for something to display then you could get a statue or a portrait or something that wouldn't look terrible.
>>5743190
>F**k 4chan, those guys are trolls--they'd bash Shogo Hasui himself if given half a chance.

This term is getting so overused it's ceasing to have any meaning.
It still took as much effort to design and sculpt. Physical effort was STILL put into it. It's no "Lazier" than other designs.
Now if it's not your "thing", that's fine. But just because you don't subjectively like a certain way to go about things, that doesn't make it "lazy". You don't know how much effort it took to make it. You weren't there during the whole design process.
I dislike it when beast heads become one of the robot's hands. But Im not about to call it "lazy". I simply don't like it.
If anything, using "lazy" as a criticism is quite literally the laziest criticism.
>>5743289
i kinda like it the head. its got that 80s mushyness to it.
though im sure that was not the intent
>>5743310
I think the more accurate term for that transformation is "uncreative"
>>5743238
I don't know. At what point do fans stop being people and start being Turds?
Ha ha. Just kidding. Transfans were never people to start with.
>>5743242
Obviously someone who likes the joke.

His Unicrons, his business
>>5743254
You can always still buy Astrotrain
And Im damned already.
>>5743295
Yeah, I'm skeptical of an SDCC exclusive being extensively retooled any more than just the head- it's not precedented.
>>5743343
That, and theres Brainstorm box art. They wouldn't commission box art for a fucking whogivesafuck-con would they?
>>5743347
>whogivesafuck-con
I don't know how you've missed this fact, but a lot of people care about SDCC.
>>5741215
>How about Windy (Micromaster) or Twirl (Mini-con) being cute? CUTE!
i do like windy, sakamoto drew her very well!

>Rhinox and Wheeljack trying to make a new body for Dinobot using both their versions of Dinobot(s)
Its a cool idea!
is it alright if a dinobot other than grimlock had a mouth plate?
>>5743361
>>5743254
>you just made be buy that thing
Wont takara make a Fireguts repaint of their own Ginrai anyway?
>>5743354
I've heard of these people.
They're called "idiots."
>>5743369
That doesn't change the fact that there's a lot of them and your phrasing was incorrect.
>>5743369
Regardless of what you think of people, there's still quite a lot of them who care about SDCC and spend tons of money there every year. New art for a con exclusive isn't a bad financial investment.
Do any of the Titan Masters/Titans Returns guys have small swords? Is there a render of the Voyager Optimus yet?
>>5743403
>>5743376
>calling people who would buy recolored $10-$20 toys for hundreds of dollars idiots
>incorrect
>>5743304
I remember the Iron Man Animated Series just fine. There's a reason it and all the non-Spider-Man/X-Men Marvel cartoons are forgotten.
>>5743407
Did you read that whole chain of posts?
>>5743403
wolfwire has a sword that would be perfect
>rearranging your shelves because pulling your combiners apart to display as individual figures
>quickly set aside some Legends figs you had positioned around your other stuff
>look back
>fuck is this I accidentally an entire Seeker rap album cover
Wish I had some little hats or beer bottles or something. This could almost be a scene in and of itself.
>>5743361
Love it! Thank you!
>>5743403
I think at least one small sword wouldn't be too much to ask for a repaint. Bat primal had very simple swords.
>>5743433
You gotta do one of those MLG photoshops. Give em big joints in their mouths and sunglasses.
>>5743446
I don't know how to do that, unfortunately.

It doesn't matter how many times I see it, the wings into legs is always amazing.

Has there ever been a bat mode that wasn't ugly as fuck?
>>5743504
No. Because real bats are ugly as fuck. Art imitates life.
>>5743503
I'm sorry you had to find out like this, Brian. It was hard but your father and I came to terms with it a long time ago.
And if you talk to your Grandma again tell her I'll be bringing her prescriptions around later tonight.
>>5743508
Real bats don't wear giant combat boots or have non-articulated skeletons though
>>5743509
Grandma died 6 years ago. Nice try.
>>5743403
>>5743406
>>5743489
These work really well. I like how the bicep on Megatron's alligator mode is a different color green on both versions, and how Mindwipe" gun sort of looks like Optimus's. You should give them both the Headmasters of the triple changer Megatron and Optimus though.
What's with the giant pink belly on Mindwipe though? It's the only thing that's really distracting. Lose the faction symbol on his chest in the second one too.
>>5743403
i think sentinel's head would be perfect for this? his layered mouth plate lends itself well to Bat Prime's own mouth plate
>>5743446
>>5743568
And a non-gif version because Blingee a shit.
Who was posting pictures of RiD Windblade and Scorponok in package last thread and why didn't they buy them?
>>5743568
10/10
>>5743539
It's a clear plastic casket that makes a cockpit for the Titan Master to ride in. It would be a little weird for Optimus Primal to have a coffin in his chest though.
>>5743599
>why didn't they buy them?
I'll take a guess at why they didn't buy them
>Buying RID shit
>>5743610
>not buying RiD
RiD is the most refreshing thing in the entire franchise right now. It's a bunch of original characters with unusual robot modes and/or altmodes (how many tractors do you have?) There are also fun unobtrusive gimmicks like targetmasters and armor.
>>5743599
Probably images from some random Asian guy.
Personally I'm passing on scorponok. I'm always down with beastformers but his bot mode looks like it'll have issues standing and/or posing.
I'm liking this new windblade mold, but that is just too much red. I'll wait and see if there's a takara version or a better repaint down the road.

>>5743638
>No wrists despite more melee than ever
>Heads held on by screws that will eventually come loose
>Glue instead of screws/pins so repairing heads is that much harder
>Obvious hollow bits
>Transformations are unimaginative despite there being a whole seperate line of one/three steps changers for impatient retards
>Paint is super cheap
>Inverted Colors Bumblebee
>Grimlock's exploding elbows
>Sideswipe's huRtINg shoulders
>Optimus' needlessly hindering boxing gloves
>First series of Minicons turn from immobile robot to puck
>Best deployer is a frog who gets all his posability from transformation joints and isn't even out in all parts of the world because of
>A billion waves of old characters in blue/grey/red clogging up shelves in all size classes
As a guy who likes RiD conceptually, this line is pretty bad outside the decpticons. It epitomizes Hasbro's laziness moreso than fucking Combiner Wars.
>>5743406
Im thinking maybe use the Megatron-looking Headmaster from Galvatron for this.
Also, dont forget the Takara redeco
>>5743668
>>This does not conform to my personal subjective tastes, therefore it's lazy
>>5743630
I'd like it a lot better if the botmodes were more traditional and not the creepy-ass smooth face/no nose combination.
tl;dr Take all of the RiD shit and give them Generations style sculpts and releases to get them away from that RiD stylized botmode.
>>5742547
>buck system
What did you mean by buck system?
Anyone else can explain this buck system thing to me?
>>5743668
>It epitomizes Hasbro's laziness moreso than fucking Combiner Wars
CW was great though. Yeah, theres mold re-use, but it's for a damn good reason, to let you make a shitton of OC combiners G1 scramble city style, you fucking tool.
>>5743630
Please, RotF had just as much goofy shit with better construction for less. RiD is trying to rekindle the Animated aesthetic but Hasbro's budget just won't allow it. Plus no one can even fucking find that tractor in the big blue sea of Primes, Bumblebees, and Drifts.
>>5743706
A lot of toylines tend to use a few body molds in various shapes or sizes, that is then partially remolded to fit different characters. Marvel Legends is infamous for this; for example, there may be a large male body buck, an average sized male body buck, and a teenage sized male body buck, all of which can be used for different characters.
as far as TF goes, it'd be something like what we saw a lot of in combiner wars, where a bunch of characters used the same core mold.
>>5743715
Plenty of people have found Thunderhoof. Mainly easily online. He's showing up in stores. Exactly how CW was.
>>5743683
>I worked hard, therefore my work is good. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need...
>>5743706
A "buck" is a base action figure body with articulation. The design is sculpted on top of that body, and it can be reused.
An example would be how He-Man used the same arms, legs, and torso bases and just built on top of them. When people talk about it in terms of Transformers they mean something like where Combiner Wars had a handful of base bodies engineered and added components to them. So rather than getting 15 different car molds for 15 different characters you get 1 or 2 transformation schemes and retooled outer shells.
>>5743715
I've got Thunderhoof and my area is garbage for getting things (normally we get Christmas stuff in July.)
>>5743706
See Marvel legends reuse of molds, adding new heads, paintapps and accesories, but keeping the same body for 5 or more figures.
>>5743722
yes, that's right.
>>5743717
I find it hilarious people bitch about CW remolds, when superhero toy lines will re-use the same torso/arms/thighs for upwards of 20 figures.
Dunno if anything ML can beat pic related in terms of abusive over-use, though.
>>5743727
Or Chromia getting retooled from Prime Arcee
>>5743717
>>5743723
Thanks for explaining. Was used to hearing the terms remolds and retools, seeing the buck term was totally new to me.
I'm not really a fan of buying what is functionally the same toy over and over again and with only a few of the parts actually being new. Feels like my money is just going towards those few new bits and pieces instead of the whole thing.
>>5743403
>we will NEVER EVER get a BW Soundwave from this mold
>we will NEVER EVER get a MW Soundwave/Stalker/Countdown from the Hardhead mold
>>5743741
This is basically the reason I refused to buy Figuarts/Marvel Legends/ etc for the longest time. People bitch about transformers, but at least the experience, for the most part, is different every time.
>>5743406
Fuck that looks really good
>>5743403
I wonder if there's a peg for that twin gun on his back? It would be cool to put it back there as Batman ears.
>>5743746
We needed a Soundwave repaint from Polar Claw.
G1 toy Gears>>>>>>G1 toon Gears
Seriously, that visor rules.
>>5743790
i would love to see a good toy of G1 toy Brawn. that whole T rex look is so fucked stupid, i love it!
What is your perfect scale /tfg/?
For me it's all deluxes and legends, Megs and Op as voyagers, combiners like in CW, and Astrotrain, Skylynx, Overlord as voyagers too. Skyfire and Ultra Magnus are the only leaders.
[spoiler]Now if only I could get my hands on Universe Octane and a classics silver Megs...
Guys, what's MSRP for Titan Wars deluxes? I live in NYC and I'm trying to decide if it's worth preordering the ones I want or trying to track them down- bearing in mind that means trekking to the outer boroughs and paying the NYC markup.
>>5743813
for me i wanted scout class minibots, ultra class optimus and megatron, and voyager/deluxe anyone else.
i like your approach more tho, i dont like ultras as much as voyagers, they're too stiff
