Hello /toy/! Newbie collector here. I was walking around my local Walmart/Kmart/Toys-r-us looking for something that caught my eye just to add to my small and pitiful collection when I thought of something. I thought, "Whats the craziest thing someone has ever done for a /toy/ they wanted?". Since none of my friends collect, I bring the question to you. Now this question is very broad and generic, I know, but interesting nonetheless. This could be when you grabbed something from a kid that you knew would destroy it, bought something instead of paying a bill, or... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
What Ibuki figure should I get, Play Arts or SOTA? Scale is not important and neither is price.
From what I can see the Play Arts looks more screen accurate but I don't like that her face is not covered up while for the SOTA one the pants look a bit odd and I was told Ibuki's legs are a little loose.
>>5372637 I like the PAK, it's a little stylized more than the game. Easy to pose, good range of movement, and it's pretty hot. Soft chest and ass. Only problems were that her front hair pieces come out very easily and she can't stand on her own very well so you have to use the stand.
>>5361248 ive always wanted headphones for my dolls but i can never find any that dont look like shit. the ones in that pic look nice but i have a feeling they're super expensive and also way too big for the doll i want

Where to buy >GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop >Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging >Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available >Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest >Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ >eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version' >Check the BST threads, My Figure Collection for any offer/deal

Hi /toy/, i've been thinking in starting to collect toys and figures, but my concern is the dust. How do you prevent the toys from catching too much dust or do yo clean them periodically? If so, how do yo clean the ones with really tight spots? Do you just dissamble them?

>>5280618 They need to shitcan whoever is obsessed with making everything look like cheap crap from the 80s-early 90s. If people really wanted to pay $30-50 for 80s/90s Superstar era junk, most of it wouldn't be $5 on eBay.
>>5375826 I once got a bootleg of that particular venom. He smelled like cheap Chinese cigarettes, and I couldn't get rid of the smell so I tossed it and found a legit one. The figure was ok minus the smell. I found it on eBay for like $15 if I remember right
>>5375826 Last I heard was that they're legit and DST have also said that there haven't been any reports of bootlegging for this particular Venom. Most likely some of the figures are just stolen from the factories more than anything.
