Hey /adv/, so I have grown out my hair for the first time in my life and I do love it, but I have no clue as to what to do with it. I have fine hair but the curls are as shown. This is it with gel in it. Any advice on how to care and style this mess?
And for another point of reference, here's my hair post wash and no gel.

Just gel looks fine. Also grow some stubble because you look weird without facial hair, and stop blurring your face. This isn't instagram, you're not fooling anyone.
I've posted about this a couple times with little response but new developments. Long story short:
>Meet girl while shopping with friends
>She's into me, say she should come see us at work
>She does later when none of us are working, but I run into her there
>They start to file in, we invite her to hang out with us
>She and I flirt a lot, friend asks to leave us alone because he feels awkward
>She and I go out to grab dinner then hang out the next day
>It's a little awkward because we were both exhausted from our days
>Try to hang out again, nothing happens, drop her
>Randomly run into her again, she tries really hard to get my attention from her car
>Talk, she apologizes she's into me still, agrees to hang out again
>As she's driving off, stops and yells to me about how her brother thinks I'm really cool which I thought was a good sign
>Try to set a day, she makes an excuse and sort of drops the conversation after a day or two
>Drop her again
>End up stopping at her work to shop, she's there
>Flirts and talks, acts really energetic, apologizes for dropping off again because I sort of blew past her, says it's been a bad month, then tells me not to leave without telling her
>Try again, in person, to set a day to hang out, she says "my life is hectic" and leaves it at that
>Hugs me, I leave
I have no clue what's going on. I know she's single and she definitely seems interested. But I don't know how I should handle this. I don't feel like I should just drop her again. Wat do?

You can read this as she doesn't have it together enough to make time for a relationship. Or she's saying she's Not That Into You. Either way, sounds like you gotta drop her.

you can try removing her from your short term memory. the reason we miss people is cuz our brain tells us they are supposed to be there. they are in our short term memory and it shocks us when they are absent.
to fix this you need to create new memories isntead of building on old onse. start watching a new show, play a new game, go to a different bar, and for the love of god, rearrange your furniture. this is by far the easiest way to do it. it forces you to build new memoriesi nyour mind to get used to the new furniture. moving the memories of you in your gf in that room to the long term, more distant memories.
but the more you actually do stuff that is memorable (like hang iwth friends and that stuff) the more you actually make new memories.

Thanks, all of my friends are too freaking busy thanks to college (me too). So it gets kinda hard to make new memories as much as I would like.
I'll try the "new game/show" thing, i'm pretty sure it sould help. Now I just have to move on, I guess she didn't loved me as much as she said (she even said that she thought about marriage with me). Yeah, shit happens.

No future I think of really appeals to me except one that is permanently beyond my grasp only due to the circumstances of my birth.

thats nonsense. the two different beliefs have nothing to do with each other and dont contradict each other in anyway. 'however' usually is usually followed with a contradiction, an exception to the rule, a loophole etc. you jsut stated two different things. also the semi colon is a waste. the 'however' connects those two sentences.
a semi colon should be used in
'i belive nothing should go to waste; i strongly believe that wasting anything is the absolute worst thing fucking ever amirite?'
but when you have a 'however' or an 'and' or a 'but' you dont really need a semi colon.
all in all i think what you mean to say is something clsoer to

I literally think if I tried to display my interest to a woman, I'll be charged or looked at as a sexual predator. I have no interest in hurting anyone, I just want a good gf to be with. Hey /adv/, how can I find my own dealer? For a couple months I've been asking my friends if they could buy for me if I payed, but I feel I'm asking too much. The dealer they go to they say is SUPER paranoid however, so he would not be comfortable selling to me.

It ruins my entire day. I have a hard time falling asleep or sticking to a sleep schedule, and i am constantly falling behind on sleep. I believe this is genetic, my dad has the worst sleeping patter I've seen and he is always tired when not at work.
i feel like if i could get a job where i could fall asleep whenever the fuck i wanted, wake up when i wake up, and just get the damn work done in between i would be so much less miserable, but I no idea what job that would be.

use your alarm clock to your advantage. never stay up late. never sleep in on weekends. ever. wake up and go to bed same time every day and you can a verage as much as you want. you'll have a few bad days here and there but generally speaking you go to bed on time, sleep 9 hours, and wake up well rested. its a swell life. i was an insominac til i had an officej ob. got used to taht cycle REALLY fast after being on martian time for 2 years beforehand.

From a female's perspective, this was a cowardly thing to do. You will never be truly happy with girl X. So go for girl Y. Make sure they never meet. If things go well with girl Y, you can tell her later on when you two are sharing previous experiences but maybe stay a little hazy on the time frame....

Ok, so I met this girl two months ago. She's 17, I'm 19. We went out on a date a little over a week later. We became official almost a month after we began talking. I lost my virginity to this girl and she's my first GF.
Anyways, she caught the feels for me hard. At first, I just wanted a casual relationship with her. I didn't expect to catch the feels for her because of her past and because I thought she wasn't GF material. As I started to get to know her more and more ( we talk on FaceTime 3-6 hours a day, meet 2-4 times a week ). She even got into a relationship with me knowing I was leaving for the Navy this year and still wants to commit to me.
She always tells me how great I am, how I'm the nicest guy she's ever met, how much I care for her etc etc. This weekend, she wrote me a massive text opening up her feelings to me. She opened up a little bit just a week after our first date and that kind of scared me a little because I didn't want anything serious with her but I started falling for her two weeks ago after she cried on my shoulder in the shower because one of her friends told her we wouldn't last, she can't an overseas relationship etc etc.
I really like this chick and I feel like I'm starting to fall in love with this chick. I just need some input and someone to talk to this. I want this relationship to work. She wants it to work as well. A LOT more than me from what I can tell. She even admitted she has stronger feels for me than I do for her.
My friends are all idiots who tell me shit like to cheat on her, use her etc etc so I can't really talk to them.

I'm currently studying a STEM field but I started to hate it and realized that I have no passion for it, after pursuing that field of education for the last 5 years.
Long story short, I didn't study anything for the entire year which will probably lead to me failing every upcoming test and getting expelled as a result.
How do you find something that you are truly passionate about?
Experiment with things,go out and do stuff you normally wouldn't,try to figure out what you really want I'm life,by forgeging about things such as money and family and pressure from others
"Passion" is a lie. Unless you're an animal freak or some other weird shit, your job will not be your passion.
You get the best job you can, for the highest pay, most comfort, and relatively good/not boring conditions, then you spend the rest of your time on your hobbies, skills, ect. That's where your passions are. Maybe you'll eventually be good enough to make money off it, but until then, focus on what I said.
Get off your ass and start studying so you don't waste the money you already spent. It's not that hard. If you don't work hard here you won't work hard anywhere else including in your "passion".
