Using that shitty wash as a base paint was a fuckhuge mistake... It's dry but wet, it's weird, like a silicone coat. I'll let it dry for one day and hope it gets really solid to continue painting.
Also someone on the last threat was talking about decals and filters, here is the order in which I use them:
Primer
Acrylic paints
Decal
Coat of satin varnish (you can skip this step depending of the situation)
Filter
Chipping and scratches (paint and metal)
Oils (if you use them)
Washes
Pigments/mud
I used to do a final coat with Matt...

/toy/ I know this is irregular, but I need your help

I'm looking for some particularly rare Melissa & Doug toys, 'Pocket Mazes'. Specifically I'm looking for

Going Up? (Pictured)
and
Gridlock (To be Pictured)

Does anyone have any information on where to buy them for a reasonable, or even unreasonable, price?

Also Pocket Mazes in general thread, I suppose.

It's from a Masters of the Universe knock -off range called "Defenders of the Planets". This is one of the villains, called Zardoom. All the figures were available in a variety of colour schemes.

So I recently got drunk and ordered a shit load of Tamashii Effects parts (Blue Flame, Red Flame, KO Purple Flame, Clear Wave, Blue Wave, Grey Explosion, Grey Crater, Brown Crater, Yellow Thunder, Blue Thunder, Yellow Aura, and Blue Aura).

That being said, I recently looked at my collection and realized it was WAY too much of a clusterfuck to even accommodate all those effects parts. I'm looking to store probably half of my collection in boxes and just rotate displays.

My question is how much is a good amount to avoid the clusterfuck look? I have a bunch of...

The trick is to have space around each individual figure. It doesn't need a ton of space, just enough that from like, 15 feet away, you can tell that it's a shelf of some number of individual objects, not just a wall of plastic like in the OP pic.

It's not quite uncanny valley, at least for me--it sort of reminds me of the pseudo-realism used on say, Kow Yokoyama human sculpts. I think it's just disquieting because the original Yotsubato style was so simplistic and the contrast is startling.

Hello soldiers, I just bought a portable lightbox for toy photos and it came with a green screen. Shit also came with an app that allows me to do easy (but mediocre) Chromakey. I need backdrops. Find me some good backdrops and in exchange I'll full photo requests using whatever toys I have in arms reach.

If anyone is interested and has green paper or bristol laying around the app is called Foldio and it's free.

you did that yourself? looks pretty rad.

You should use a hieronymus bosch painting and try to find a section to place a figure in. I took this pic myself but with a small high quality print that was in a book.

***GM Group Build***
Rules:
Pick an HG GM, and paint and customize it. For it to count as a GM, it literally just has to have GM in the name of the MS on the box, otherwise, no, it doesn't count. As far as customizing it, I'm going to place a limit on that. The limit is 50% additions to the kit.
To define 50%, look at it like this, you could take a GM Custom and replace the arms (including shoulders), legs, and backpack and I'd call that 50%. I'm not counting handheld bits in that. If you're unsure of something please ask in IRC, the thread,...

That really was a great figure, but the fact that the headsculpt never failed to remind me of a Cro-magnon version of one of my older cousins kinda ruined it for me. Could not unsee cousin John talking in a low calm voice about the importance of churchin' an' studyin' and other uniterestin' things.

I... I just couldn't bring myself to make John-Hulk smash anything. Wasn't in his nature. He always wanted to go to Cro-magnon bible study.
>>
>>5735277
It's a pretty good figure if you can divorce it from modern comparisons and just appreciate it for what it is. If it had good fist hands instead of the clumsy articulated fingers, and the ab crunch didn't feel like it was held together with a rubber band, it would rank much higher in the GOAT Hulk scale.
