My confidence is shit /adv/. I don't believe in myself at all. Even when playing video games, my first instinct in a 1v1 situation is to just run and try to get the upper hand in some other way. I never like to commit to anything.
Women apparently dislike males with no confidence too but no one can ever answer me when I ask how to improve it. How is confidence improved?
I never think to myself "I CAN DO THIS!" I always think "I am not sure I can do this..." or "Something is going to go wrong, how do I foresee it?
Can anyone give me some advice?
Get some hobbies or skills you're good at and can take pride in. Try to take leadership roles when you can (even if you don't feel comfortable at the time). Become better at talking and communicating with people.

I tried dating sites, but they either looked like men, or acted exactly like real women and ignored my messages. Is it like dating a celebrity and you can't plan to do it, just has to happen by chance?

Hey /adv/, I have been wanting to have all my ancestor traced back to Europe for awhile(I live in the US), but really don't have the time to do all the research. Some of my ancestors descend back to colonial times. I was wondering about how much it would cost to pay a genealogist to trace back all my ancestral lines to Europe? I should also mention that one of my parents is from Europe, so they would be tracing the ancestry for only one parent.

It's been a few years since we broke up I think.
I haven't even thought about her in months maybe even more than a year, but this week I had a dream of her where we started to talk again and it was awesome. The rest of this week I haven't been able to stop think about her.
I miss being with her , she was the only person I've really cared about in that way.

Then there is the fact that I'm not even sure if I really want to establish a friendship with her or whether I just want things to go back to the way they were for purely selfish reasons.
Sorry this has turned into a rant, but I had to get it out of my head.
What do you guys think, should I just go for it and see what happens?

I'm 23, I just graduated college, and I've never had a girlfriend. Is it because of how I look? (pic related) People tell me it's because I'm not "confident" or whatever but I seriously think I'm one of the most naturally people I know.
I have Asperger's and I feel like I look like I have autism, like those autistic people that get made fun of on 4chan all the time. If I saw myself in the street I'd probably think I'm just some retarded guy. In school I got left out of lots of fun stuff (I didn't have a good group of friends until towards the end) and I feel like a big part of it is because of how I look, I felt so shitty being surrounded by young attractive people.
I've tried lots of different things with hairstyles and clothes but I always think I just look stupid, I've posted on /fa/ and /fit/ for help and people just made fun of how I look without helping me. I have a giant forehead and no chin so I need to grow out my hair and facial hair to hide it.

Hey guys. I just don't have any experience with this and am not sure where to start.
I've been single for about a year. I have been in a few relationships and they haven't really worked out for one reason or another. I've never really been serious about commitment anyway. But now I want to start seriously looking for someone.
I am very interested in online dating as I think it opens a lot more doors than hoping to meet someone you're compatable with on the street.
