I've been finding it more and more difficult to properly vent my anger. I go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week for the last ~5 years. Always workout very intensely, but I find that it isn't doing much of anything anymore. I'm worried that I might start to take out my anger on myself or even others, maybe even reverting to drug abuse (I am a recovering opiate addict). What do you guys do to keep yourselves distracted? I have other creative hobbies like photography, music, and drawing, but I always end up at square one.
I masturbate furiously.
It's a bit destructive, but I love using skateboarding to blow off steam. Flinging myself down stairs several times just for that one time I roll away feels pretty great, and in the process I tire myself out getting frustrated with the trick I'm trying to do.
I play the saxophone, I'm not very good at it but it works for me as I have to focus at least a little to enjoy it and play well
Perhaps something along the same lines?
Even if it's just doing a puzzle or a crossword or simple maths
If I delete someone from snapchat, will this person got any notification/info that they are no longer my friend?

prolly not

prolly ain't good enough
They won't, but if they send you snaps directly they'll notice you're not opening them.
I'm a NEET 26 year old who badly needs a job. My last job was three years ago and I don't have an easy way to explain the hole in my employment history. I've been applying to every shitty retail position I can find, but to no avail. No one calls back.
What should I do?
>>17109479
>employment history
I was traveling abroad with my rich partner / parents / relative. You might want to google some random country in case they will ask where you have been and what have you done there.
>retail position
What about flipping burgers? It is better than nothing...
>>17109491
Traveling abroad for three years, though? That seems a little hard to swallow. Although I live in a pretty affluent area, so it might fly.
I was considering lowering my standards and applying for some food industry jobs as well. There's a Starbucks nearby that hires pretty frequently. I dunno what they pay, but I hear it's pretty okay-ish for entry level wageslave stuff.
>>17109479
do you have any qualifications?
My BMI is 26. How will anyone ever find me attractive? I feel like my boyfriend finds me unattractive and has been lying to me. I gained 22 pounds in a year.
What do?
>>17109464
If you can gain 22 pounds in a year, you can lose 22 pounds in a year. Also you might not look that bad, depending on your body shape.
>>17109464
go on a diet? its not that hard. count your calories. if you dont have the discipline to lose weight, you dont even deserve to have a relationship because you obviously couldent be a good mother.
>>17109464
lose weight.
I'm very insecure about the way my face looks and i avoid mirrors. I never wear my contact lenses anymore because i hate seeing my face in mirrors with bad lightning.
If someone ever calls me ugly it completely ruins my self esteem, even if they claim they were just joking. If anyone ever tells me i look good i just assume they are lying.
I've posted in countless rate threads on /soc/ and people usually rate me above average. I always assume they are either just being nice or i think that it's just a good picture with good lightning and that i actually...

show us a picture of you? 1) because we'd be objective and 2) because we can give advice on how to at least improve your appearance.
/soc/ tends to rate people high because they of course want good ratings as well. if someone rated you a 4 its not like you'd give them an honest answer.
they rarely rate anyone below a 6.

Here is one of the few pics of me i don't hate, mostly because the pony mask is covering part of my face. I'm not an actual brony tho.
>>17109488
>heres a pic of me to help you judge me

Need relationship advice, guys!
Last time i had a girlfriend was years ago, and i didn't treat the relationship seriously. Now questions arise whether or not i should get myself another girlfriend.
Unfortunately i have great anger issues and will resort to beating when she won't obey me.
I don't know how far my aggression would lead, but i fear i won't be able to get into a relationship which won't result in a big problem for both of us. I do not believe in anger management and don't have the time nor will to try something like that.
What do?
>>17109442
im bored at work so im gonna pretend this troll post is serious
>i dont believe in anger management
thats not a thing.
>plus i dont have the time for it
if you dont have the time for a 1 hour session twice a week how can you say you have the time for a girlfriend?
>athiots 1
>republicans 0
Dude I can't tell if you're trolling or not but relationships are based on commitment and compromise, of you cannot commit to a couple hours a week or compromise to anger management, the relationships gonna die anywah
>>17109456
>>17109463
i dont believe in anger management, going to a talk session every once in a while won't be able to change my personality from the inside
Does anyone have any idea why would a guy act really clingy and share intimate thoughts with me one day and then ignore me the next day? Is it because hes not interested and doesn't like me?
Maybe he was drunk
>>17109434
Sometimes when I open up to someone and I think about it later I feel stupid.
>>17109437
nothinng indicated that. Also its kind of a pattern in our relations really
I have a crush on this girl who sits at my lunch table.Lunch is the only period I have with her. We hang out with some other friends of mine. I want to get close to her but I get too nervous and timid to even talk to her. How do I approach her without making my feelings obvious?
You want your feelings to be obvious. Talk to that girl, say you like her and ask her out on a date.
>>17109392
by talking to her while supressing said feelings.
there isnt a magical solution that will make you not realize how you feel. the best you can do is purposely compose yourself and try to be able to do it on the fly too.
the more you do this the more you get used to it. she is a girl at a time in your life where you have a 'lunch table' ergo, she is by no means permanent. she is your practice girl. good luck
>>17109402
>>17109412
>juzt do it
/adv/ like always
What you do OP is respond to everything she says in the table until you have a reason to talk about something outside of lunch.
When should you be financially able to move out of you parents house?
Live in the UK but I'm really worried I'll grow old in my parents house, how and where do I move?
I personally don't plan to do so until I've saved up enough for a deposit on a house.
>>17109350
does it matter when you should? if you financially cant support yourself, dont bother.
every plan is different. some people are content to move into a 1 bedroom apartment and know that they will work minimum wage to live there for the rest of their lives. some stay at home for a few years to do college. some move out for college. some never move out.
decide what you want out of life (whether its to go hang out at a young age, or save up for a nice house down the road) and plan accordingly.
what...

You can ask yourself:
>WHY do I want to move out?
Personally I see no reason until you start hating your parents or when your dad is interrupting sessions with your partner.
If you have a GOOD reason, then you should ask yourself:
>How can I AFFORD having my own house / flat?
Because having mortgage and losing job isn't funny.
Because being forced to return home after you officially declared independence is lame.
So you...

How do I stop getting so over-excited during sex?
Not like, popping my load too quickly. But just, overall.
Every woman I've been with has at one point asked me "Are you okay?" during or after. I had a 10 second massage from a friend the other day and every time she touched my back and I twitched and tensed forward, and every time we're (not me and her, me and whoever) are getting busy my head goes completely blank and my breathing becomes really ragged really fast.
I get that some of that is normal but it just seems like I...am a little too...

Have a couple shots. I'm not a drinker and during sex I can only last about 7 minutes or so. Mostly because I am WAY to worked up.
However when I get 3 or 4 shots in me, I calm down and can got at it for at least 3 hours.
It's all mental really, but a little bit of boozer really helps mellow you out.
>>17109327
try pic related with your eyes closed. If isn't enough, instruct girl to take is slow and imagine something not sexy like broccoli.
You don't have problem. Keep sex and eventually it will get boring.
>my head goes completely blank and my breathing becomes really ragged really fast
You can have low blood pressure, weak hearth or something more complicated. Are you fit?
>>17109327
ALso you may want to just try to monitor your breathing habits during sex, or any physical activity for that matter. You gotta breath comrade, or you're gonna pass out on top of your lady lol
Long story short, girl I've been meeting up with for a few weeks. We text a lot and hang out whenever she's town. She's coming back from school for a week before she goes on her study abroad trip over the summer. Should I ask her out in the little time we have or should I ask her out after the trip were we'll have more time to hang out?
I typically don't like to wait longer than two weeks to ask someone out, especially if they're vibing with me. Problem is distance, not sure how to go about this.
by ask out do you mean ask to hang out, or ask to officially go steady?
if you mean hang out, go for it. keeps you in her mind before she goes off on her trip.
if you mean ask to go steady, i wouldnt. regardless of her feelings the trip is the trip and shes not going to want to have much devotion to a guy she only started seeing five minutes before boarding the plane. im not saying this in a 'ALL GIRLS ARE SLUTS' kind of way.
but if i was single and planning a trip to virtually anywhere, i wouldnt want someone wlaking up at the last minute and...

Yeah sounds like a plan. I didn't feel comfortable asking her for a lay before she went to another country either. Plus she's like relationship material versus drunk night sex type if you catch my drift.
>Last week me and this girl hit it off on tinder

No that is going to far. Move on to someone else because finding someone on facebook and contacting them can get you blocked.
Just move on famalam.
My bf and I went to a comedy show at a theme park. There was a family in the row in front of us that had a girl in it that was maybe 14-16 yrs old. During the show when people were laughing, I saw the girl look around and she saw my bf. Their eyes met and they both kept smiling. The rest of the show she would occasionally turn her head to look at my bf and smile. I caught him looking at her without moving his head a few times too. It made me very uncomfortable.
Was he being rude on purpose? He gets upset if a man just says hello to me so why would he keep looking at her? If you were put in the same position, as the gf or bf, what would you do?
He wants the young puss
>>17109248
If you end up getting cucked by a kid I'm going to laugh until my eyes come loose.
>>17109248
In a mature, loving relationship, two people can sit down and communicate about their issues. If it made you uncomfortable, call it out. Don't let tiny issues eat at you until they ruin your relationship dear.
hello everyone,
In general I am a really nice person and stuff, but today I got in an argument with a person and then I felt so sorry I wanted to apologiz later on, but instead I found my whole instagram account hacked :(

Hello /adv/,
Currently, I'm in need of searching of a method of financial income, a job. I'm here to ask some people here instead of /g/ since it's more job-related than technology-focused.
Long story short, I have entry-level experience as a Target Digital Network Exploitation Analyst and in general, experience as an Intel Analyst. I have been offered entry-level positions in the IT field in the past, but rejected them at the time, since I was previously not interested and mainly, they were in a location that I no longer reside near. I also don't...

Go to chandoo and learn everything you need to know about excel. Very important and will give you an edge when you start working.
Regarding tech jobs, the field is so vast that I can't give you an answer. You said you have analyst experience correct? Well then just apply to whatever entry level tech jobs you can and use your experience to get you a job. If were offered jobs before, you shouldn't have a hard time with that.
>>17109252
Thanks, I'll look into Chandoo!
Yeah, I understand the importance of Excel. I once worked with a guy who was an Excel-wizard basically and was able to make cool shortcuts with it and everyone went to him for help. It's definitely is a great trait to have in the field.
