My experience with dating sites is that unless you're a 10/10 model you wont be getting any messages back, or you won't be getting as many as you think you want.
For every message you send to a girl on there, there's 50+ guys who have messaged her, and there's 20 more guys there who have much more going on with their lives, not that they're much better than you, but they have things working in favor of them than you do.
Not the answer you wanted, but it's the one you're going to get. Online dating sites/apps have done so much...

Dating sites are pretty tricky. You have to understand that for every girl there's probably 20 guys, and the girls are swamped with messages daily.
I have been friends with a trans girl for 4 years now, and over that time it developed into something more. But whenever we agree on actually being in a relationship, she loses interest in me because she thinks she may want to rather be with a girl instead. This has happened 4 times now. It's not weird, it's a common thing a lot of people do so don't worry about it.
As far as why, I can only guess it's how your brain doesn't completely freeze your body during sleep as its meant to (to keep you from sleepwalking and hurting yourself). Sleepwalkers have it much worse. I don't think there's a cure for either thing, and it's just how your brain manages your body during sleep, keeping you slightly...unfrozen.
