I used to take a short walk (around 30 min) before going to bed when I was stressed and couldn't sleep. It helped me calm down and I could sleep a little better. The fact that almost no one except for some cars now and then was out at that time was really therapeutic for me.

The problem is blasting your eyes with high-color-temperature light, like the Sun or like most screens that have built-in lighting.
