So guys, me and girlfriend have been together for over a year, we're both 20 too. We love each other and really care about each other, but I feel like I'm overprotective but I'm not sure. Every week or so she meets up with a girl or two and they stay over each other's house and get drunk. The girl she drinks with is a huge slut too. Whenever my gf goes over her house I get really worried and worked up. I don't think my gf would do anything, but I just get so worried. This girl wants to get drunk with my gf too and go see concerts in NYC, a few hours away, and I told my girl no cause I don't think it's a good idea. Am I being overprotective or just overreacting? My gf has never cheated on me before, she cheated on her last bf in a whole "I was so drunk it was not consensual" way, should i be worried guys? I really love this girl but I just get so worried and upset when she does this stuff. Let me know what you think

Think if this were you hanging out at a man whore friends house, you would think that your gf was being ridiculous. Not if she cheated on her previous boyfriend by doing exactly what you're wanting to avoid. Drinking at a friend's house for a girl's night? Not bad. Drinking with friends and strangers while away from home? Not really the smartest idea. But you shouldn't have to tell her that, given her past. She should already know it's a bad idea.

I've been contemplating suicide a lot. as well as just selling everything I own (which isn't a lot) and disappearing.
4 years ago I started dating a girl. thinks were fantastic. broke up unfortunately due to alcohol, got back together. then we had a kid. almost 2 now, and she's the greatest thing in the world. but I can't see her. see, girl had the idea to move back to my home town. we had moved to here for the baby, thinking it would be easier. it wasn't. she bought a car with over 30% interest, I've racked up a couple thousand in debt, and have two shitty fast food jobs.
the real kicker? she left again. only this time it's for good. she took the car, my daughter, and left me with the debt I owe. I have nothing. I am nothing. thanks to an awful upbringing filled with neglect, I never went to public school. My education was learned on my own, but I have no diploma to prove it, even though I am near genius level. I was going to just join the military, but I can't with no diploma. I was going to get my ged, but cant without a car. I'm tired of being a burden on my best friend/roommate, with paying for my ex-girls shit and my baby, I have no money to help with bills. my friends despise me, even though they don't act it.
I'm 24, with no future, no car, no diploma, two shitty jobs that I have to beg for rides just to get to (or walk 25 miles everyday). can not live with my parents, their financial situation is as bad as mine. siblings are well enough to do their own thing. I just. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't really want to try and keep going. I was never given an opportunity by my family. I was never given a start. and I am tired.
Oh man that's a tough situation. I know losing your children is the most painful thing. I'm a long distance dad myself. But suicide isn't an option. You have work and that's a great focal point. Keep your head in your work. Are there no buses? You have someone who cares enough about you to give you a ride. Talk to your friends, open up to them. They're doing this for you because you mean something to them. Fast food isn't the only place that's hiring. Apps all of them every where. Some places offer GED classes online but unfortunately not enough of them. Which baffles me, they have college courses but no GED courses. Total bullshit.
You've got some things going for you. I know you feel like you've lost it all but you haven't. And you can fight. You should fight.

What is your education? In many areas you can create example projects as proof that you are competent and show them If impossible with yours GET A FUCKING DIPLOMA FOR IT. Should be easier when you already know your shit.

So I started seeing this girl about 3 months ago. She lives about 2 hours away, but we would text constantly through the day, talk on lunch breaks, and almost every night. I took the nuclear option immediately when I found out and cut off all communication. I blocked her number, blocked her on facebook, snapchat, and cut out our few mutual friends from my social media. Is there anything else I should do? Revenge sounds like a great idea, but I don't know if its worth it or what I would do. I'm pretty torn up over this....

Why cut out your mutual friends? Were they aware of your relationship with her and that she had a boyfriend? Were they helping her hide that she had a boyfriend? Were they actually aware that you didn't know she had a boyfriend?
Why does revenge sound like a "great idea"? That sounds like a terrible idea to me. Why would you want to stay involved with this person? Focusing your attention on being angry with her is a waste of time and energy.
I would probably drop the boyfriend a line letting him know what's up. I wouldn't be doing this out of "revenge" but to make sure he's aware what his girlfriend is up to. (Golden rule -- I would hope if my girlfriend were fucking around behind my back that someone would let me know.)

I met my best friend's cousin today and we really hit it off quickly. We have so much in common and we so many interests and love basically all the same things. I'm honestly really emotionally unstable right now. I've been alone all my life. The few real relationships I've had were with qt 8/10's but now I'm just lonely and pathetic and isolated. I am seriously considering killing myself. I question why I can't be like everyone else and be normal. I question what's wrong with me. I'm moving to one of the biggest cities in the country in a few months but I fear the same rejection once I get there. I don't know if I can take this isolation for even that much longer.

My father has been accused of taking a bribe. Him and the lawyer are going on Wednesday to the courthouse to see wether or not the case will be thrown out or will continue as planned. Let me explain.
In October, J and P were both involved in selling a property to our township. They were going to give 15k to my father (hes a councilman) to okay this amd get the rest of the council on board (10 people total). J was pushing very hard for this, but my father was NOT on board. J pushing for it via text is all saved and is with our lawyer.
P enters his real estate office one day and suddenly forces the 10k on him, this is RECORDED ON VIDEO. Later he is given another 5k (forgot if this one is on video, about 90% sure it isnt.) He is then apprehended by the police, with the money NOWHERE to be found.
In the case of the bribe and property itself, the bribe was not needed, as my dad is a pretty affluent man. Another thing is that even before the bribe was thought of, the town REALLY wanted the land, in fact, the papers were being signed one day before P came to my dad. But someome stopped them. The entire process of it stopped.
During the enditement (indictment? Whatever part of the lawsuit where a jury is asked wether or not a case should be followed up on) the people against my father left out key info, such as the entirety of J's involvement and the stoppage of the paperwork. The head of department who also worked on the case also lied about an event that took place.
This is all I know, as told to me by the lawyer and my father.
/adv/, my question is, what would you say about this? This thing screams shady as hell to me, but I would want to ask what you would think about my father if you were on the jury.

During the grand jury indictment process, the prosecution can lay out its case without rebuttal by the defense. Grand juries routinely vote to indict literally anything that a prosecutor presents before them because a prosecutor would have be completely incompetent to fuck up such a one sided process.
If it actually goes to trial, there will be a considerably more balanced presentation of the case to the jury, assuming your dad's lawyer is competent.

part of the reason why this board is okay is because it's slow
