I just started getting into the world of online dating, but I don't know what sites are legit or what their focus is. I know for example that Tinder is generally seen as a place for quick sex as opposed to long term relationships: that's the kind of advice I'm looking for. I also want to find a site with as little paywalls hiding features as possible (I quit pic related in less than a week for this very reason).

That said, online dating is usually bullshit.
It's only really effective when you live in a big city, especially if you have niche interests. Doesn't hurt to put yourself out there, but you have to realize that it's like a job application and there's literally hundreds of other people competing with you on them.

this. my experience has been that dating apps and sites are only good for about a month at max.
think about it this way:

>she is handed a large list of men simply waiting for her to say 'yes ill be your girlfriend'

now im not saying we should all settle down with the first person who catches our interest. i am pro single and think that we should only date someone we have extreme connections with, making dating apps rather obsolete for me if it wasnt for the sex aspect.

it may say she isnt really looking to date, just hte idea of dating. it may say her standards are too high. but at the very least it says that online dating doesnt work for her.
and i dont blame her. first few weeks on tinder were a whirlwind of emotions. great girls, awesome dates, some of them leading to more dates. if i was a casual dater id definitely have asked one of them to be my girlfriend.
but ive been on it two months now and its dried up. you go through all your options, get a few matches a day at best, and you got 100 matches you havent even bothered messaging cuz they're just kinda 'alright' looking.
Anyone got any tips on getting to sleep early. I work casual at a bakery but I only ever cover the late morning shift nowadays. But now a few people have called in sick for tomorrow so I have to do the night shift at 1am. Problem is that my bed time lately has been around 2am so and waking up at around 10 which is pretty much the ax act hours of my shift... So yeah any advice for not being completely dead?
Note: It's currently 10:30am and I just woke up to the call from my boss, so I have to try be asleep again in about 10 hours

Live with Bengali Muslim family, they have always been shitty they constantly dote over me and get pissy whenever I go out with freinds. They force me to "socialize" with their freinds children who are religious and very obedient and judgemental. They don't let me go out anymore and want me to hang out with these losers who probably hate me. Ever had a problem with a urine test?
I've just wasted all my money to get a job (visa, medical and stuff) and it turns out that because of a fucking sleeping pill (which wasn't prescribed to me but a friend), I won't get that job and will probably be homeless in a couple of days.
That sleeping pill had benzodiazepine in it which I didn't know at all and I didn't even know until this urine test what it was. I couldn't tell the truth so now I might not get this job.
Life is harsh for people who don't have a family, friends and money.

Rant:
Yesterday, my dad had surgery for torn rotater cuff thing due to a fall at work. They're paying for everything so he can heal but now he's idle at home. Talked with him this morning about how he should take some time to chill out, but I knew that wasn't gonna work. I can hardly sit still either, especially if I'm injured.
Got a text this morning saying that he was vacuuming and moving furniture around because my sister, her baby and partner were coming over and the place was too messy for the baby.
I call him up:

I'm currently attending highschool in germany, it's called "Abitur" there. So basically I'm in 12th grade right now. And, well, I didn't thought I would talk about this but I guess I have to at this point.
In my major course, called GMT, it's an art thingy designing course, I've got this teacher, right. Basically he's a good teacher and a nice guy too, always caring for his students and wants them to actually learn something from him (unlike most other teachers here).
You see, I'm kind of a loner. I never really integrated into this school and all my friends live elsewhere, either abroad or other towns. I'm attending to this school for about 2 years now and I only see a friendly face every so often. A lot of the other students just don't fit well with me. It's not like I'm getting bullied, I just don't have friends there.
So in a nutshell, I'm desperate for some company.
Anyway, this teacher, to put it bluntly, just spends too much time with me. He tries to motivate, or anyone for that matter, to give their best at school, even if it means getting to be friends his students. The way he talks and gesticulates is so youthful and open. One could say he's a bro. Well, he would be one if he wouldn't be like 45 years old.
We talked about some stuff at some point and it turns out that we share the same taste in a lot of things.
A lot more talking happend, all sorts of things, but one thing I must call out:
Just yesterday he came to talk to me after class. Somehow he figured out how I felt about the other students and other things as well. He just hit the mark perfectly. It was outright creepy at first. But then, well, I felt ashamed.
Truth be told, I not so long ago I imagined [spoiler] him pounding me after class in his office. [/spoiler] Yeah, I'm "that" kid. Thing is, I don't find him to be that attractive though, being "a little too old" for me.

Do not do it. A 45 year old man has nothing in common with a high schooler, and you will regret it in the end after he gets tired of you and both of your reputations are ruined when the story gets out. I'm looking for a shitty minimum wage job this summer for extra college $ and I called a place that advertised they were hiring and a woman (of course) answered and said they were only hiring women. It's at a restaurant I go to pretty regularly and I see male cashiers there all the time. I suspect it's just that the employee who answered is just some chick doesn't want dudes working with her so I will go in in person and ask if they are hiring tomorrow.
