I know that dating your coworkers is generally inadvisable, but I've done it anyways and had some success with it. For anyone who's dipped in company ink, how much is too much? I've had a public relationship with one of my coworkers, which ended mutually, would asking out another coworker be a poor move? She's a shy, lonely qt.
For perspective, I don't care terribly about this job but it'd be nice to not throw it away for nothing.

My rule is always: is this a job or is it a career? If a job, who gives a fuck? As if being paid 8 bucks an hour to man a register is worth any consideration for the long term. It doesn't matter. Seems like a bad idea to me. I've seen it crash and burn twice. Once at Fred Meyer the couple split after 2 years and the girl filed a sexual harassment claim and the guy lost his job in management.
How do I ask a girl for a hug? We don't know each other that well so it's gonna be awkward either way.. but should I just say hi to her and spread my arms out and hope she takes the hint, or actually explicitly ask her for a hug, or do something else entirely?

23 years old and just got out of a 3 year relationship with the girl I was planning to propose to this coming summer. I honestly feel like by the time I'm even ready to date again (between 1-2 years) I'll be doomed to be forever alone. I'm a solid 6/10 with a decent personality, funny yet shy on occasion and usually have no problems speaking my mind. basically, i have to choose a major, either something along the lines of Psychology, Business, Commerce, Management..
the problem is, i dont know what to choose, im not good at anything..

I won't say which you should choose because honestly you should go for what you're passionate and or inclined to learning about.
BUT, I will say you should be prepared for a bunch of unsuccessful people blindly telling you to major in STEM because "hurdur muh employment rate".
You will not become a doctor simply because you pick science as your major and shoot for medical school. Someone who is mediocre at science or whatever will most likely remain that way or have a much more difficult time trying. Be wise.

/adv/, are you motivated? Focused? Inspired? Disciplined? I'm not.
If you are, how do you do it? How do you instill discipline, determination into your life without some sergeant screaming at you? How do you teach to yourself?
I have so much I want/need to get done and I have every intention of doing it but even as I am doing things, I get tired of it fast, bored or plain unmotivated. It's really affecting my everyday life now.
Two words: other people. And no, not drill sergeants. Buddies. Partners. Individuals to whom I have a responsibility. We're by and large a social species and it shows in our personal enterprises.
