I think this is happening to me. I've come to terms that I will spend the rest of my life working and all jobs sucks. Also, I realise that I have been romanticising relationships and that most people with a partner are not that happy. In addition, the older you are, the more responsibilities that you have. To be honest, years of watching anime and a general lack of interest in relationships up until now have raised them too high. Things like their face or personality are all set at a relatively high bar for me. I'm not physically unattractive, but I'd imagine I wouldn't be on the radar for those women who meet MY standards, which is part of the problem. I also consider my personality boring/uninspired, and imagine that might be a problem in trying to find a relationship.
