I broke up with my girlfriend of four years in May.
Since then, we've been texting on and off. She called me on the phone last week, we just caught up for ten minutes.

How do I stop being insecure about my intelligence?
This has been bothering me on and off for around 4 years and stops me being as productive as I'd like.
If I ask someone where they think I stand I don't trust their answer because I don't know what their standards are or who they've met.
Internet IQ tests are not an option because I can't trust them either.
Objective achievements don't help me because I can't account for all the confounding factors.
Is this a thing that will just disappear over time? I would hope so....

Hey /adv/, this sounds a little too cynical for me to ask, but today I just turned 21 in Florida and one business refuses to allow me to purchase some liquor, can a business legally do that despite me proving my age?
I contacted my county sheriff and they told me that "If I can prove I am 21, in which my ID said Under 21 until 07/07/16", then I am legally permitted to consume and purchase liquor.
It doesn't seem to make any sense, but can a business refuse me service to purchase even if I turn 21 or older?

She applied to grad school about a month ago staying within the same university, for a 1-1.5 year Master's degree. Since she was already "in network," they're forgoing all the exams and prereq stuff, and basically all she needed was a personal statement and 3 letters of rec.
