So I got super smashed a few days ago. I tripped over my dumb ass and put a hole in my jeans.
They're a good pair so I don't wanna just throw them away. I was thinking about ripping/cutting them up myself. Are jeans like that /fa/? And if so, any good guides on achieving a good look for those?

most of the purposely ripped jeans you see around look fake and stupid. but if you know what properly worn jeans look like you can make something better than 99% of what's out there (though it'll probably still look a bit shit). stuff 'em full of padding so they have some volume, then just go to town on them with a wire brush, cheese grater, coarse grit sanding block etc.

Sandpaper worked for me for more subtle/natural-ish holes. Also scissors-wash-tumble dry for frayed edges.
Depending on how you ripped it tho i wont do much, less is more imo and you can look tryhard with multiple fake rips/holes
