a glass portable water bottle is a terrible idea.
get whatever looks good to you, its a water bottle. having an overly nice/significant waterbottle isn't recommended either.

It really depends. I didn't think a thread like this would pop up, but I personally use a limited edition dark grey stainless steel tumbler from Starbucks. Even the straw is metal too, I love it. I'd say glass or metal. Just don't be an idiot with the glass.
