If I want to build muscle
And I have 20% BF
can I build muscle while eating below maintenance?
Say I eat 1500 calories with 200g of protein, will the fat I already have be good enough to build muscle while cutting?
Only if noob gains are involved. You're better off eating at a 200-300 surplus and burning off the calories by exercising
>>37336698
that'll just make him at maintence
If he eats 2300 and then exercises and gets to 2000 total, assuming his TDE is 2000, he won't gain or lost any weight
>>37336698
U won't lose weight but you'll lose fat

Lebrone isn't going to win
You actualy think that Olympia's judges don't create dynasties for marketing purposes and Levrone being in his 50s will win over Phil "I'm a huge faggot with no chest but lightskin pretty boy blue eyes" Heath? If Levrone didn't win in the 90s in his prine what makes you think Kevin "I have a bretty decent chest but always get rekt by Dorian Yates becauss he has a better back and legs
Is it true that martial arts training for bone building makes them harder and stronger, but also more brittle?
Because I'm very sad. I wanted to train my bones until I was practically invulnerable, but not if it means if I actually break something it stays broke.
no dumbass, only steroids increase bone density, nothing else does.
>>37379170
What? That doesn't make sense
How did you plan to train your bones? And for what purpose?
HOW TO GET FASTER? hey /fit/ I know this is mainly fitness but I was wondering if there were any athletic trainers or athletic/sport science majors. I'm a running back and I'm currently looking to gain speed, and quickness. What lifts/exercises help best?
>>37336452
Be born with better genetics x F
Do cardio daily and do footwork drills at least two times a week.

In terms of Posture, is it possible to get that scapula adduction to be a permanent thing? For example during hte pencil test. Is there a way to have your resting position be where the pencils are pointing directly forward? Or will your shoulders always medially rotate? I am trying to fix the shoulder issues and I am just wondering if obtaining the perfect humeral head in the shoulder girdle is even possible to maintain. Thanks
>>37336143
Are you asking if it's possible to unfuck your shoulders after being a bench bro?
The answers yes, just work your shoulders, specifically rear delts, more like stagnating on your chest. Try face pulls.
>>37336171
That is not at all what im asking. I am asking about posture and proper alignment.
Corrective deadlift and practicing correct posture will fix it.

Hey /fit. I'll keep it simple. My arm can't fully straighten.
I was starting to exercise earlier this week. Then only a day later my right arm would not straighten.
Its been a few days now, I tried ice and light stretching, but its not getting better.
What do?
>>37336101
Just flex your arms for all eternity

Is it a meme or what?

TOP CHORTLE
>>37337015
I'm well aware what a meme is. It's idiots who use the word improperly that I don't understand.
I don't if anybody here will remember me but I came here a few months ago as a 5'4", 234lbs woman posting about how despite trying to eat moderately and exercise regularly, I was continuing to pile on weight at an alarming rate.
At the time I mercilessly shredded by everybody here calling me a liar and a fat shit and how I wasn't being honest with myself about my diet. It didn't make sense to me either because I genuinely was working hard. For a while I even began to convince myself that maybe this shtick about 'fat genetics' was true...

Bah, if this is a true story then you're not at-fault here. Don't blame yourself outside of trusting him to cook, just be smarter moving forward and cook everything yourself. Best of luck, we're all going to make it et c.
>>37336048
great blog fat bitch why would anyone care

That will never be a problem because I'm leaving him. But thanks though.
Hey guys, check out this awesome idea for a hairstyle app I thought of:
An app/website that'll let the user see which hairstyle would look appropriate on him/her, by picking from an array of different hairstyles. Using facial recognition technology, the user will be able to realistically put on virtually any hairstyle on his/her head, giving an accurate representation of what the user will look like with the hairstyle - even allowing the user to move his/her head up, down, left, right with the hairstyle intact.
The app will have a variety of social networking...

Ive been stuck at benching 140 for quite awhile. I stopped this past semester but am giving it another go. I read to do 3 sets of 5 low weight, then 2 at close to your max for muscle mass. Does that actually work?
is it true that most of the star athletes you went to school with were relentlessly trained by their parents since childhood?
i was recently having lunch with our old schools star pointguard and i asked him how he got so good, he basically told me as long as he could remember his father mercilessly practiced shooting with him and pretty much forced him to play.
is this true of most of the good athletes we went to school with or do you get good just playing for 2 hours everyday during practice?
>>37335576
Most good athletes did put an awful lot of time into it. Whether that's because they were forced or had their own passion for it is pretty variable.
>>37335576
For the most part, yes. I did boxing, football, and wrestling. Anyone who was above average had pretty strict parents. Aside from boxing, some were just angry ducks.
>>37335616
i guess it makes sense i mean, what kid wants to practice doing layups all day instead of playing power rangers or something.
still i wonder if it would be fair to my kid to force him to practice playing basketball all day (even if it would be for his own good)
