We are due to renew our contract with the landlord in 10 days. 7 days ago we had a random flat inspection and the flat was messy, not damaged at all, just a lot of used plates and trash sitting around, still fairly clean. The landlord sent us a letter saying it was unacceptable. We rang and said that it was due to medical reasons that we were struggling with staying on top of the tidying and its not usually like that, and asked if we will be allowed to renew still. They said its 50/50.
If they do not allow us to renew the contract in 10 days, will be evicted immediately? We will be legally homeless as we cannot get anywhere else due to them not actually telling us in time that we can't renew. Can they legally kick us out in 10 days with no warning?

i feel hurt, cheap, humiliated, angry, depressed, hopeful, etc . a mixture/cycle of emotions every time shes in the picture.
for now i'm choosing to be gray area friends-monogamous with her while i figure/ground my shit out

Hello /adv/, my 15 year old son is never with his friends anymore, he never goes outside and is just in his room all day. He goes too ranger meetings and to school, but other than that he doesnt do anything outside of the family house and ive asked him several times to go too his friends but he just rejects it and goes back to his room or insists to do something else instead.
How do i make him become social again?

Just find healthier food that is very enjoyable, and pickup a fun exercise routine.
There's this illusion that people suffer to not be fat and that's just untrue.
So he likes skinny girls and you stopped being one. That's kinda just a thing some guys are or aren't into, and it can easily become a dealbreaker. It's not unfair at all really. everyone has standards. Plenty of guys don't give a shit about how thick you are.
Loosing weight is also not very tough or hard once you learn how to do so, so if you have a beef with yourself for being on the thick side, do something about it. /fit/ is an absolute shithole, don't ask for advice there, but the /fit/ wiki in the sticky is an absolutely fantastic resource. I suggest reading that and going to bodybuilding.com, as it's the most active fitness forum i know about.

Simple. Tutorials, tutorials. Try codecademy, make some basic applications. See if you like it. Build something fun, some simple game or so.
All this assuming you want to be a developer and not an IT guy who deals with cables and networks, because I cant help there.

If you really must, just walk up and try to take a turn. Rejections are not common, even if she doesnr really want you, you would at least be some time killer before another guy takes a turn. The actual dancing doesnt matter, go youtube something if youre scared, but in all these years, I dont think anyone even remembers or cares who was the best dancer of the room, you just have to be open to the idea of dancing and flirting

I'm 18 years old, lean and physically active. About 2 hours ago I thought I was having a heart attack with palpitations, chest pain, trembling, dizziness, sweating, feeling like I couldn't breathe, a nasty lump in my throat and severe stomach butterflys. After the initial attack my body was trembling for minutes. I thought I was having a heart attack and going to die.

Hey /adv/, I left my gf(call her E) and best friend of 4 years 13 months ago. I rushed into another relationship for 11 months. New relationship was toxic and destroyed any semblance of who i was. My mom's got a boyfriend, they are about 9 years togther.
We are living at his house, that he bought for us.
It was for me, my brother, and them. Brother left, so it's now the three of us. I'm currectly in the army, so I see the house every weekend.
Now the thing is, he's the devil.

my advice is learn to manage your anxiety. consistently remind yourself that college is place that is enjoyable, everyone is in college to better themselves (and the world subsequently). its a place you are able to fuck around and make mistakes and no body is really going to make a big deal. I dont know what your parents were like growing up, but the anxiety mindset is what you should focus on fixing.
oh and there are usually classes the first year that tell you how to do academic research / the teachers also tell you

I live in a family of 7. My mom & dad, 3 younger siblings, and my grandmother.
My grandmother is the aunt to a homeless man who will usually come stay with us. Even though no one wants the homeless man to stay in our home.
My mom, dad, and grandmother don't want him here but they say "he is family" and so they let him stay despite the fact that the entire living room STINKS when he's here.
So sometimes I get angry just thinking about the homeless man.I want to tell him off, but I'm afraid that my parents will reprimand me, even though I know they don't want him there.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that in any given month, he will stay for like 2 weeks, then go away somewhere for 1 week, then comeback suddenly as if we havent seen him in so long and stay for another 2 weeks. It pisses me off. Also it's not like my family is doing financially well enough to feed another mouth, especially this homeless guy who is like 70 years old and has family elsewhere in the country.
