as a depressed/anxious person, is it better to have a partner who has similar issues (relatable) or someone who is ok (motivation to get better)?
Coming from a person with depression who is in a relationship with someone with depression. It's better to have one person with problems and one person without. Because in my situation. I've gotten better but she hasn't and now I don't have feelings for her as much as I did because I've gotten better. So now I gotta spill the beans.....

if you are truly depressed its better to have no partner at all in my opinion. you are by your own admission unable to take care of yourself, and inflicting that pain on a partner is bad for them and gives you a false sense of reality. once they leave you you will take it too hard.

That's the problem, the few friends i do have are regular drinkers and the times i do hang out with them alcohol is involved. I'm the idiot that binges right away, then acts like a retard the entire night until i'm too pissed to drive home and usually pass out on the couch. I somehow fucking totally forgot I had an exam today by being so interwined with my other classes and personal issues. It's in an hour and a half. I'll get slaughtered if I show, and the only way to miss it is via medical reason.
What plausible reason can I get a medical note for at a clinic? Preferably something that wouldn't require follow up. I was gonna say migraine, but I worry they'd send me to a specialist. REALLY need help here /adv/!

If you're talking about writing, only 10% of what you do should be actual writing. The other 90% should be prewriting, planning the plot, dissecting the characters, making sure everything is perfect. Then, once you've got the bones built up, write the actual story.

I have the same problem. I feel like, growing up, nobody ever listened to me or thought anything I had to say was important, so they'd tend to talk over me and interrupt me. I kind of learned to talk really fast because I want to get everything in before somebody interrupts me, but that makes me a shitty speaker.
