I have diagnosed Major Depressive Disorder with melancholic features. I take SNRIs on a daily basis at the recommended dosage (for the last 1.5 years), and it pretty much keeps things on track in terms of being able to function. I can work, have a good relationship, go to gym, and can hold a social life insofar as I show up to events, chat and all that. My depression is basically gone barring the odd bout when something triggers me.

Talk to your doctor about what you're experiencing--maybe a modification to your meds dosage is in order! Allow yourself to grieve over your mom, and try to avoid thinking of your hobbies in negative terms...as soon as one of those words pops up in your head--stop and tell yourself that that's not true and try to resume or do another activity that you liked--or even discover new ones! Hey /adv/.
Ive never really posted or lurked here before and I'm sure you get a lot of threads like these, but I'd love some advice on what to do.
This morning my girlfriend of a very very long time broke up with an extremely hypocritical excuse. I haven't really been phased at all by the break up but I can feel it affecting me more and more as time goes on.
Do you guys have any advice on how to quickly get over a girl? Or at least things will help take my mind off of her until I can forget for good.

I know exactly how you feel I just went through a similar situation. All I did to take my mind off her really was to put my mind on other things. I started talking to a lot of different girls and put my mind on one thing and focused on that. This might seem like simple generic advice but it really does work. Good luck OP sorry for your loss

Eat less, move more.
If you eat fewer calories than you use in a day, you'll lose weight. It's not easy, but it IS simple.
Make small changes to your lifestyle and diet that you can stick to. Harsh short-term solutions don't work because you (like everybody else) won't stick to them.
Expect it to take a year. Don't make a plan you can't see yourself sticking to for a year.

I am from Hong Kong. People here tend to think of learning a new language as very difficult. Parents spend tonnes of money for the language education of their kids. Any kid who learns English quickly will be praised as adults think that this is very tough.

Coming from a small country in Europe, it's basically mandatory to learn English early if we are ever going to have a shot in the global world. My language is spoken by roughly 8 million people on earth. That's it. I'm sure Hong Kong alone have more than 8 million in their city that speak Cantonese/Mandarin, the prospects are simply better. It's not as important to learn a new language the more people on earth that speaks that language because you are already able to communicate with a lot of people.
It's just a different approach because of the culture.

So i've been constipated all damn weekend.
I've tried everything, even a prescription laxative. It hurts and i can't eat anything.
Worth noting, i have had an infection for a few weeks which may have caused it in the first place, and am on antibiotics now(day 2 of 7).
the laxative helped me get out a bunch of liquid fecal matter, but the problem is that the heavy turd blocking things up is still there and won't come out.
I have tried everything.

>acidic food and drink(IBS, usually it guarantees 2 hours on the toilet)

It was pretty easy once i got him used to his place. A big part is how i spank him until he's sobbing every morning and again before bedtime
