First off, there IS the posibility she likes you to a degree, since she was honest about detention.
However, if she wants to be your friend, there's nothing bad with that either, having friends.
But usually, when a girl actually is honest about unable to go out to lunch with you and being specific about it (i.e. "got detention"), you have her interest. Play it cool, look at her body language and the way she looks at you.

If she's cool then be friends with her. Then keep trying your luck with other girls and hitting on them whenever you're with her. It'll go one of two ways, she'll either get a little jealous and try to put the moves on you, or she'll hook you up with one of her girlfriends.

my school suspects me of cheating on an exam. i was failing all the assignments and midterms but passed the course by acing the exam. i have a meeting with the dean, what should i do? what should i expect? i need advice. btw it was a multiple choice exam.

How do I overcome laziness?
Laziness is honestly the biggest problem in my life, and I don't know how to overcome it or get rid of it. As a result of it, I quit a lot of things and lack the drive or motivation to study, to do sports, to learn an instrument, because the moment the going gets tough I will quit. If I have to do something, I will avoid it if I can.
I'm scared to death because there is nothing that is strong enough to beat this, not even fear or hope - it's an unpleasant feeling but it's not strong enough to make me do anything about...

The shortest and easiest answer is stop quiting. Finish the projects you start. Use your willpower to not give up so easily. Maybe try starting small stuff first that doesnt take weeks or even years to learn. Make something to eat and use a fairly simple recipe. Keep trying new dishes with more "complicated" recipes. Cooking is just an example.
You have to want to change your behavior. If you dont care then nothing will change and their is no one to blame for your behavior other then yourself.
I'd say be competitive at something or turn all your chores into a game/mission. Civilization didn't come from nothing, for example. Are you a bad enough dude to carry on the legacy of humanity?
Think of people whose job it is to interact with others face to face like a nurse, they have to repeat the same conversations every day but they get creative with it. Anyway, you can make something out of nothing doing that kind of shit. It's not bad.
Maybe is the chemistry in your brain. Or maybe is you low attention span, your brain is used to lots and lots of stimulation.
I'll suggest changing your habit one by one. Change tv or internet for books sometimes (per day).
if you do marihuana frequently, stop. That could be messing with you reward system.

I’m 18 and on May 24 I will have been out of high school for a year. College has finished up and I’m taking off the summer (because I’m to retarded to take summer accelerated courses). I have never had a job before so whenever I apply at places the issue of me not having any experience always comes up. On May 24 it will be summer for all the highschoolers in my city and the job market will be filled up with more kids with the exact same qualifications as I have.
My parents won’t get off my ass about how I need a job and I’m starting to get desperate.
What should I do?

But since you're here, let me share how I'm also terribly easily distracted and also having a hard time getting motivated...
If it helps, find some nice music to help you concentrate. Some may prefer silence instead, which may be easier to "aquire". In any case, don't waste too much time finding some. Not too catchy and no lyrics to sing along to. Tron legacy OST has done me well lately, but that's my taste.

Posted this yesterday, didn't really get anything in terms of advice so posting again
Ever since my last breakup all I've wanted to go out and live life to it's fullest. But no matter how hard I try I can't put myself out there.
I was in a relationship for almost the entirety of my first year of college. The entire time I couldn't help but feel I was missing out on life. Once we broke up all I wanted to do is meet new people, go to parties, try new thing. Just live and have fun.
