Hi, I'm 20 years old living in florida and I was wondering how it would be possible to move out of my house and into an apartment by myself. I do not have a job yet, but am searching for one currently. Is there anyway I could move out the moment I secure a job? I want to be out of here ASAP.
depending on your reasons for wanting to be out of there asap you might be able to find some government/state assistance with it. Unfortunately a lot of places want a security deposit and first months/last months rent up front so getting one as soon as you find a job likely wont happen until you get a few paychecks.

Hi /adv/. I've been going through some really stressful times these past few months and i've gained 15 pounds within a month from binge eating. I can't control myself. I used to be 160 pounds and thought that was overweight, but now i'm actually disgusting. How do I stop and what can I do to keep the weight off? Preferably a month from now? Basically, from a poor family. Been poor all my life. Recently got a job, working part time making $8 an hour. Graduating high school in three weeks. Now, I just barely met the requirements for graduation. Just barely. I have a 1.4 GPA and my ACT/SAT scores are low as shit. School was hard for me. I was accepted into a community college which my parents will help me pay if they can, but all of the money from my job will be going to it. I feel like I'm too stupid...

If it helps, nobody your age knows what they want to do. Most of their career path decisions are completely impulsive and they will almost certainly be changing it at some point (maybe even several times). I know that wasn't any real advice, but I hope it helped in some way.

Started working at UPS during high school and while going to college. Two years of college decided after 3 major changes that I dont like school. Now im a driver.
Lifes strange after high school but not definite. Find yourself in a positive way in the coming years.

You'll get better at it the more you communicate with people. Communication is a skill and like any skill, practicing it improves it. What good is wit if no one can hear it?
Seems like you'd benefit more from being social. Just keep at it and it'll come naturally.
Witty but silent only works if you have a lot of confidence.
Outgoing but awkward gets more sympathy than silent and reclusive.
If you're trying and just trying to be honest with you are (In other words, don't put on some fake ass facade you ripped off from some movie or some shit.. and yes... I've legit remember a kid try to do this back in highschool... he literally got thrown in dumpsters becuase of it... I met him again like 5 years after... he got ripped and got all dude-bro-ey, still the biggest tool i've ever seen), most decent people will see that you're trying and will cut you some slack/sympathy.
And communication is a skill you pick up over time. Just keep forcing yourself to do things you're increasingly uncomfortable with, and eventually you'll gain that comfort and do them as second nature.
It's just like working out your muscles, you need to keep things diversified and always ramping things up, otherwise you're going to stagnate and never actually improve.

I have applied to about 10-15 places and got at least 5 interviews. Literally nobody has called me back. I've been trying to get land a part time job as a cook at anywhere as long as I can earn enough of my own money and good reference. But so far, nobody has even gave me a call back. Ask them more directly if they can help you get a job, and tell them that its not because you want something easy but because you want something that will feed you.
