Im going to keep it simple.

Two nights ago a cop blocked me in as I was about to leave an elementary school around 10pm. Probably a misdemeanor. Any combination of a fine, drug awareness class, a short probation, jail time.
I doubt jail time if it's such a small amount that's only intended for you, and it's your first offense. It depends on the state and the judge as well.

I will post what I have found to be effective ways to make one's self private. I am in no way an expert, so that is why I am also asking for other anons to contribute if I missed something or am mislead on something.
1. Alias’s
An alias is a fake name. It is not illegal to use a fake name unless under oath. When should you use an alias? All the time. Think of all the times you are asked for your name online.
Do you just give it freely? I used to. Now I don’t. I always use an alias unless they are sending me a check and then I use my real name.

2. Ghost Address
Anonymous is of the opinion that you should NEVER give out your physical address (where you live). No one (aside from friends and family whom you trust) should have this information. You should always use a ghost address.
A ghost address is a place where you can get mail but is not where you are located physically. While using a ghost address, your real address being traced back to you would cost a lot of effort, time and money. An example of a ghost address would be to use a PO Box that can receive your mail.
Another option is to use an online company which will receive your mail and parcels (preferably in a state with no sales tax), scan it and email it to you, and depending on what you tell them to do they will forward it to any address you choose or they will shred it (or in the case of a parcel - just forward it to you).

3. Cell Phone Privacy
Smart phones are a spy’s wet dream. Any hacker worth his salt can get into your smart phone using the Bluetooth capabilities, the wireless internet, the instant messaging. Anything. Hackers will set up free Wi-Fi access in public places such as libraries, cafes and airports.
Unsuspecting users who log onto the hot spot are then monitored for passwords, credit card numbers and account information. Those apps you download can be harmful too. Many cell phone users leave their Bluetooth signal constantly on, and never change the default passcodes, usually “0000” or “1234.”
For these reasons I no longer use a smart phone. I have been using a Plain-Jane phone with no extra capabilities except for phone calls and text messaging (and I’ll be damned if the charge doesn’t last 4 times as long as a smart phone. I charge the thing once every four days instead of every day).
You can pick up track phones at the local gas station (what ghetto’ites call a “burner”) for $15 and renew minutes as you go. This past year, anon has saved at least $1400 not using a smart phone with a full data plan. If you want to go the extra mile you can pay with cash and use an alias when you set up service.
Never put personal information on your cell phone. No social security number, credit card numbers, date of birth, passwords, or compromising pictures.

4. Online Privacy
Nearly everything you put online can be traced back to you. That’s why you must take double-special-extra precaution when you put any information online. Remember, NOTHING YOU PUT ONLINE IS SAFE. It can all be traced back to you, and that INCLUDES emails you write.
Yes, all emails are read and stored by papa gumment. Before you put something on the internet, think to yourself if you would like it read back to you five years later. Anything can come back to haunt you.
The only way your emails are safe is if you use an encrypted email and the person you are messaging also uses encrypted email. You can get a free secure email address at Hushmail or one of those Icelandic email address's, but remember, it is not private unless BOTH parties use encrypted email.
Always use several emails. Have a real email you use for friends and family and use several baloney emails with fake names for all the endless sites that ask you for an email.

I'm 26 and I've come to accept that I'm not happy with my "career" choice. I've been working since I was 16 and am stuck in the customer service hamster wheel because of my experience in retail and customer service jobs are always available. I work for a pretty good company with good pay and good benefits, but I've grown so bored of the environment. The problem is that it's a secure job with new opportunities popping up. However, I've recently started thinking that even if I got promoted I still wouldn't be happy. I'm only trying for new positions because I'd get paid more and would something new to do for awhile before falling back into the same rut.
My passion isn't in the corporate field but those jobs have always allowed me stable living and I am trying to build a foundation for my future family. I've been thinking of going to school but my thoughts have started to trend towards culinary school because I'd really like to learn new cooking techniques and methods and discover new ingredients.
So my question is...Is it worth stepping away from security and what I know to chase after something that might make happy?
Working in the food industry is fucking awful, trust me. Hardest work you'll ever do and its so fucking boring. Only people with a criminal record takes those jobs.

I work the line (cooking steaks, scallops, pastas, salads, etc.) and do prep (making soups, cakes, prepping line stuff)
I also do random cleaning stuff and help on dishes.
I get $14/h plus tip out which averages $2/h. it's not great pay but it's not poverty tier. When I was working fulltime I would work on average maybe 37 hours a week, sometimes less sometimes more. I've worked 50+ hour weeks.
I thoroughly enjoyed it for about 2 years. Then I started to feel uninterested in it and a bit of a dead end and I went back to school.
You do work with some fun coworkers and if you like food, it is genuinely a fulfilling job. The feeling of making a special and it selling well and people saying they like it is amazing. I do miss that. But it's also stressful as fuck and frankly the work culture in kitchens is bullshit. Some people literally kill themselves working so hard and it's just how it is. Sick days? forget about it unless you're in some corporate hotel restaurant. vacation? maybe 2 weeks a year.
The more you move up the more it sucks away your life. once you become sous chef and then head chef your entire life will revolve around work.
I love cooking and I'm really glad for my time working in kitchens, but it's not something you want to do for your whole life. It's a solid transition career for your 20s or as a side job for extra cash and excitement.
I've been a busboy, a server, a prep cook, a chef, an assistant manager, and a general manager. I had about 9 years of experience in the industry.
In the order that I listed those positions the hours, the work, and the responsibility increased.
The higher up you get the more hours you work where you aren't actually compensated for them. As a GM I was salaried at 45 hours yet often worked 60+ hours a week. My health/dental benefits sucked. If those are the kind of benefits you're talking about. Eating free food isn't really a benefit and depending on where you work it's difficult. As you want to control food costs you can't really eat infront of employees without them getting annoyed.
I love working in kitchens and around food. I'm actually a really good cook. I work very well in stressful environments. Keyword "I", but the problem is dealing with and handling other people. I still love cooking and it'd a dream to open my own place one day but it won't happen because I know how much a headache it can be. I can easily make more money doing something that requires less hours, less stress, and better benefits. Not to mention actual holidays. Oh and the "customer is always right" thing is really annoying. Getting walked on by people and taking it gets real old. I can cook at home and enjoy cooking that way. As a career I would advise against it unless you have no other choice.
Dating seems to be dead. Fewer people than ever are getting laid.

How can I get my boyfriend to tip?
About once every two weeks we go out to a restaurant of some sort, usually a different place each time. He outright refuses to tip every single time, and it's getting to a stage where I'm ashamed of him now.
I don't expect him to go OTT tipping 25% or whatever, 10-12% is normal, hell even 5% would be better than nothing. He's British so doesn't understand American tipping culture. This is hardly a relationship dealbreaker, but it's certainly putting a strain on it. There is no tipping in my country but I still tip when in the US, its just common courtesy. Tell him about how they dont get paid full salary, and that the tipping is part of their pay, maybe then he will understand.
