How old was it? It's probably food poisoning, something like salmonella. If the pain is too severe, go to the ER/call an ambulance and explain the situation. If you are in danger they will pump your stomach, if not you will likely get some pain relief and a place to stay while you puke up every meal you ate in the last 5 years (figuratively speaking.)

If so, it's hard to make new friends. Social groups are usually already made and people are plain-and-simply busy.

Join a few social clubs (like rec sports leagues, fitness classes, book clubs, shit like that). It will offer repeated, unplanned social interactions with the same people, which offers the best odds of making new friendships.

It's something that's gotten worse as time has gone on, I guess because I kept moving away from people that I knew to the point I'm all alone in a city in a small apartment, leaving me to my thoughts too much.
