In what country are you in?
Yes, that is herpes. I have it and it looks like that. Avoid touching it, wash anything that's touched it, throw out any lipstick / lip balm that you've used in the recent past, and wash your hands before you touch your junk. The sores will rupture in a few days / a week - and they'll be filled with viral fluid, so watch out for that - and then it'll take another week or two to heal up after that.
It's obnoxious and embarrassing, but like half the population has oral herpes (cold sores) so it's not like you're a leper.

How often do they come back? This is the first time I have had them in 3 years. Is it just random like that? Or does it mean I have actually picked it up now?
Is it legal for me and my friend to rent a 1br apartment and put 2 beds in it?
>>17360170
yes. i mean i imagine some places might have some building codes that say no, but this is an extremely extremely common practice.
were you thinking having your own rooms with one person taking the living room or both sharing a room and having a seperate living room.
also
>not cuddling with your bro
never gonna make it famalam.
>>17360181
Probably 2 beds in the main room if it's not too small
>>17360186
there should be no problem with it. check with the landlord but he has no reason to care. generally speaking apartments DO have an occupancy limit, which is two people per room (as adults tend to share a room wtih their life partner, and kids with each other)
>tfw 140 iq
>tfw too sick/disabled to effectively navigate uni bureaucracy
>tfw can't get a fucking diagnosis so no accomodations for me
if i learn to code will someone hire me? i literally can't stand being a neet anymore. any other industries where demand for talent>desire to fuck with prospective employees.
Yeah why not do something like CS. It's better than being a neet.
>>17360158
forgot impt caveat that not getting degree
i've had to drop out for medical reasons four times already and unis are asking me to spend a small fortune to show them my entire academic history

sup /adv/, recently minted PhD in English lit here. market is shit for tenure-track work. I am seriously thinking about going back for Chemistry; I love learning and get free tuition at any public university in my home state up to 150 credit hours.
so would this really be so weird? what would your thoughts be about a 40 year old who is going back to get a second bachelor's degree in a scientific field after getting a PhD in a humanities discipline?
thanks
>>17360143
>what would your thoughts be about a 40 year old who is going back to get a second bachelor's degree in a scientific field after getting a PhD in a humanities discipline?
i'd think he finally realized that he got a mcdonalds degree and wants to get a real degree now
dude, do it! you sound motivated af.
do you. fuck haters.
Shit bro can I have free tuition too
Thoughts? Is this scummy or okay?
New to the dating game hence the question.
I'm still in pursuit of ex, if that makes a difference.
>>17360117
>is this scummy or okay?
does it matter? like really, is there some secret facebook group where girls list you on the 'scummy' list after experiencing dates with you and coming to the realization that you want casual dates?
>>17360117
>>17360207
also
>to get over ex
>im still pursuing her
stop pursuing her if you wanna get over her
>>17360211
I guess I should have rephrased to "is it okay to go out on casual dates when not emotionally invested", which seems like the answer is still "it's okay"
I ain't over shit yet, idk why I wrote that in the subject lol
Sup /adv/,
I got diagnosed with clinical depression today by my doctor. I knew it was depression as I've shown all the main symptoms for it for ages.
This all stems from getting into Commercial Pilot Training. While this should be a good thing, it's been a very long and stressful procedure just getting there (anyone in aviation will tell you that).
Anyway, I can't take antidepressants as I would be unfit to fly, so I was wondering if there's any methods of coping with stress, either other medication or something proactive.
I haven't...

Crying helps you know. Just fucking cry and don't be ashamed of it. I suggest finding fulfillment in what you're doing. You're doing your part to bring about one of the world's greatest forms of transportation. It's pretty god damn incredible.
Have a good day anon, I suggest crying soon.

If I go somewhere with low funds is it a better idea to buy a motorcycle instead of a car assuming you live in a desert region with no rain?
You can get a small sized motorcycle under 3 grand that gets you back and forth and gets 40-60 mpg. Where a car under 3 grand will probably break down and be in the shop a lot and probably cost you you're job and will cost a ton to repair and probably only get 20-30 mpg
As a mechanic of both cars and bikes, I'd say mmotorcycles generally need more maintenance and repair per mile than a car even though there is the big saving in gas.
There is plenty of preventative maintence and simple repairs you can do to either a bike or car.(See /diy/)
There have been times I've only had a MC and there are some inconveniences but you learn to work around them.
>>17360081
Don't forget to consider that other drivers straight up don't notice motorcycles most of the time(when switching lanes and stuff like that).
Due to that there is an inherent danger that they have which cars don't.
Honda Grom gets 100mpg with a 1.45 gal tank and a 125cc engine. Perfect for efficiency.
Hello. I am terrified to try tinder but I want intimacy. I've pinpointed social isolation as the source of most of my depression. I'm also terrified of being with another man and getting taken advantage of again.
Guys of /adv/ would this work? What's your opinion? Can I say on tinder that I am looking for someone who is patient and VERY gentle, and MUST take things slow? I probably won't be interested in sex till a little bit in because I'm a very fearful and shy girl.
Also if I get hugged too hard it bruises me, I am not fucking joking....

Silly rabbit, tinder is for hook ups.
Someone online admitted to me that they are going to kill people. They live in Serbia I have their IP address and the logs. What is the best route I can go? They also admitted to starting creating LSA to sell and try become a drug lord.
Just to add it was children that they said they were going to.
Sounds like an edgelord that won't follow trough. Either he wants to be a terrorist or a drug lord. Wanting Both just sounds like a heap of crap.

I know he is bullshitting he is an edgy teenager but I will not be able to live with myself if I find out that he is hurting kids.
To those of you who spend all your day here, how do you stay sane?
At the start of each day it's pretty nice, but I'm tired of sitting here for multiple hours at a time and going to bed bored and slightly annoyed.
I check /adv/ from my phone during the day. I do that whenever i have a few mins to kill. It doesn't get boring at all. You might want to try leaving your basement...
>>17360038
I don't mean /adv/, I mean this site as a whole.
Also, do you think I was looking for someone to tell me to leave my house? I mean things I can do at home to vary up my life.
>>17360041
Meh, i browse other boards too.
K.
I would be bored out of my mind too if i would stay at home all day. I would sleep in, make pancakes, listen to some music and shitpost, play piano, make lunch, take a nap, shitpost some, draw some, watch a movie, take a bath, make dinner, shitpost some more till i'm sleepy, go to bed. Rinse and repeat till i'm too bored and actually go out or invite someone
How do I prepare for the end, end of society, mankind, whatever. Im european, and when civilisation will fall, I want to be ready, but its really hard here to get guns to protect myself, even if I get one, thats not enough, how do I survive ?
What do you mean, end of civilization?
You need to invest in secluded land and build a self-sustaining bunker

No government, anarchy, no services, shortages of everything, maybe a disaster that can send everything to shit
I've finally done all my work, I just want to fully relax now without any stresses
except now that I finished my brother is trying constantly to play some sort of mind-game with me
how do I enjoy my summer with his presence without feeling any stress?
What kind of games?
Just tell him to give you some peace or go to the neares river with a book, a blanket and some snacks.

As in verbally harasses me and is convinced I'm trying to be assertive and psychopathic when I accidentally leave the door open or don't feel like talking when I'm tired.
>>17360042
Basically saying that I'm being an asshole and grudging him for something I did say 2 years ago. My family for some reason buy it, thinking he wouldn't be acting like this for no reason and condemn me, making me feel like a dirtbag.
I honestly don't know what to do to get out of this situation... Talking to him and "reconciling" would be me basically submitting to his paranoia, as his basis for harassment is on me being a cunt.
So I've been with my gf for about 2 months. We both go to community college, but she's going to school during the summer and working while im just working. We used to message everyday and both of us were pretty engaged in the conversation, but when school started for her, we toned it down, understandably. Her first semester for summer classes just ended and she' s gonna take her 2nd one soon. Problem is, i messaged her two days ago in part of a conversation we were having, but she didn't respond last night, but she has school the next day and it was kinda...

Message her repeatedly with an obviously frantic tone. End with "pls respond".
Works every time.
I'm hesitating to follow up because I don't want her to think I'm clingy and all that, but it's been about two weeks since we've actually spent time with each other even though we live 10 minutes away from each other. Should I wait 2 or 3 days before following up? What should be the appropriate response? I was thinking of just telling her, " I know youre busy and all, but just message me whenever you're free to just hang out and relax, I feel like I'm bugging you everytime I ask you" is it a good idea to just follow up and message...

Best course of action is to follow up with a short text message and not really ask her to commit to anything. It sounds like you are actually aware of her time constraints but you are thinking about yourself a bit more than that, so you need to let her know that you care and are there but let her make the plans since she has the more hectic schedule.
Don't stress out about it because I can pretty much assure you she is more stressed she can't see you whenever.
maybe this is a thread for /fit/, but how am I supposed to be/stay physically attracted to a fat, lazy piece of shit? Or a lazy piece of shit about to become fat?
>2nd partner I drove away recently because of too much persuading him to lose some weight and get fit together

Then you wanna get a girl that already do exercise, go to a fucking gym.
>>17359970
I think it's perfectly fair, even a good idea. But in today's society everyone wants instant gratification so finding someone who's willing to exercise isn't ad easy as it should be.
>>17360008
They bring up the "you don't accept me as I am" card when it comes to this.
>m-m-muh real self, desu!
How do I know if I'm a catch? Wouldn't a girl be happy to wake up next a hard 8 inch cock every morning
>>17359959
Nope
Girls can get 8 inch cock anytime they want
Heck they can buy a vibrating gyrating pulsating rubber one and leave it under her pillow, easily accessible at all times
What else do you have to offer?
>>17359966
Loyalty
>>17359988
Lots of guys can offer loyalty. Anything more rare?
And before you say "my virginity", that's not an attractive trait.
