I don't know how to tinder. I get a lot of matches daily but I can't hold their interest. It feels dehumanizing because it seems like all they want to hear is some chad/tyrone thundercock types going ayy gurl wan sum fuk?
Not to mention like 80% have on their bio "No I wont netflix and chill" or "not here for hook ups".
Depends, what r u interested in? You can always find groups on diff social medias to find ppl with certain intrests.
>>16791516
the big thing about people is that they want to be seduced. even if its just a hook up they dont want to come out and say 'hey lets hook up'.
netflix and chill became so popular becuase netflix was an easy pretense for meeting up without the promise of sex.
unfortunately texting doesn't allow someone to truly experience you, so while certain 'hooks' might make them uber interested, its hard to find those. the reason you get a lot of matches is because you are (presumably) attractive. so girls wnat to give you a chance. than you say nothing to impress them.
so you can either play that game... or you can not. meeting people in real life is fewer and farther between, but that is what makes it... well, humanizing. tinder is where you go shopping for humans. to not give yourself access to a buffet of humans to choose from is what makes it humanizing. not having girl after girl after girl trying to match up is what makes a REAL spark something wonderful.
when you go outside and meet people, you develop a real connection. as opposed to a thousand people saying 'TRY TO CONNECT WITH ME' and failing because they are only putting forth certain aspects of themselves
HURRAH!
I have made it with a girl :)))
We exchanged numbers, but I am very bad at flirting via text.
I need some good one liners, or suggestions, or phrases, or whatever. i dont talk to girls often.
she likes me, and u dont want to sound like a doffus via text.
Just tell her you don't bother texting a whole lot, but you would like to hang out with her and get a coffee or a drink sometime soon. Then ask her what her schedule looks like. If you try to carry on a conversation through text when you normally don't communicate that way it's gonna sounds retarded. Just get the date and stop talking.
>>16789097
yeah yeah. all is that, but she is kinda flirty with my and i need to better repsond.
she texts a bunch, and I need to get with the progam.
i dont evne have a smart phone :(
future dates aside, i need to keep in comunications with her.
i just need help talking to girls via text. or this one in particular.
she just sent me a pic of her dog drinking from her water bowl. same dog that dried to lick my balls as we were getting it on.
like what do I say?
>>16789107
Lmao why did you even feel the need to say he tried to lick your balls? Anywho, the point is that you just gotta keep the conversation going. She must like her dog do talk about him. Complement her every now and then about things you like about her. Be cool about it though. I personally don't have conversations over text though because it makes me feel like a slave to my phone.
Yo,
so I basically flunked my first semester of college due to a variety of reasons. (traumatic experience, depression, fucking around too much, not being organized, etc.)
I was given a second chance this semester and so far i've been doing okay. I have okay grades but not great grades. How can I ensure that I get great grades this semester so I don't get kicked out? I literally can't afford to get kicked out.
My schedule this semester is a bit more than last semester. I'm retaking two classes but the work for both of them is completely different and I actually want to learn the material. I'm struggling with my computer science course a bit and I've been considering seeking out a tutor.
What can I do for myself besides the obvious? IE
>study more
>get tutor
>don't go out as much
>etc.
>>16789087
Build a support system. Get friends who are studying the same or very similar things. Basically you want to be around people who will either pull you into studying or shame you into it.
>>16789087
when you list
>traumatic experience
and
>not being organized
in the same list. you know you are bull shitting. you failed school cuz you didnt care enough to do good.
>hwo do i ensure that i get great grades this semester
by sitting down, studying, and doing your homework. that or blackmail all yuor teachers.
>what can i do for myself besides the obvious
i think you mean
>what magical options do i have
none. the only way to ensure you do good in school is to apply yourself.
>BUT WHAT IF I GET DEPRESSED BTU ALSO FUCK AROUND
thats your choices. even when depressed you still have the choice to do your homewokr
>BUT ITS HARD
yes. hard. nto impossible. the moment you say that doing your homework of all things is impossible, is the moment you claim you are no longer human. you are just a tool that some higher being is using, and his plan, for whatever reason, involves you flukning community college.
you are simultaneously NOT important enough to be part of said god's plan.
again, you may not have a good choice, but you have a choice. no advice will help you combat a 'traumatic experience' or 'fucking around too much'
So I downloaded and read a study about internet addiction, went online to check my results on the Internet Addiction Test and got 67 points which is a moderate internet addiction score.
Some parts of the study and some questions in the test talk about people who neglect their friends/partners to instead spend time talking to people online, but I have no friends or partner in the first place. Even though I was hopeful when I first started reading the study, this got me worried again.
If I stop using unnecessary applications that have a negative impact on my grades and health (e.g. Skype), what the hell do I have that I can go back to in real life? I'm in university and most people seem to be part of a friend group already, I don't want to bother putting myself out there for shit.
If I stop doing useless stuff online to feel good I'm basically left with nothing
how fucked am I
>>16789071
pick up a hobby like reading, drawing, an instrument, etc. you have a time management problem that is linked to spending too much time online. if you quit doing frivolous things on the internet, you may find that you still do frivolous things anyway.
Be me Dating girl for 2 years.
Lived together for 1.5 years.
Talked about marriage and kids in future.
Had gone ring shopping.
Find out my dad needs heart surgery.
My dad asks me to come home for 6 months to help him pre and post surgury. I would be gone for 6 months helping my dad.
Dad lived 8 hours away
Tell girl that I needed to help my dad.
She freaks out about who would pay bills because I would be taking some time off work.
Next morning super awkward.
While taking her to work she said we would be on a break while I would be gone. Girl couldn't promise that there would be anything to come back too when I came back.
Packed my shit and left that morning.
Did I over react?
>>16791465
ehhhh. i mean you were going to leave. so its not an over reaction. or even a reaction. sure you did it in spite and sooner than you thought but...
there is no right or wrong person here. You guys have a life together and she didnt want to either A) lose you or B) run off to take care of an ill person for 6 months.
its big of you to choose your father over your girlfriend. there isnt much you could do about this. it does suck that your gfs response was 'ugh who's gonna pay the bills'.
but there isnt anything you can do to fix this. why wait to see if shes going to be around? shes decided that after 2 years you guys arent serious enough to make serious life changes for one another. leaving for six month wont exactly help that.
time to move on.
OP
Too me it was a wait till I have to leave and count down the days or rip the bandaid kinda situation
>>16791465
>Yo, my father has no one else to help him with his heart surgery
> OMG, who will pay the bills? If you go, we're on a break.
Fuck her. She either ridiculously self-centered or just wanted an excuse to jump ship already.
What should be my objectives for the first time I talk to a girl? Should I try to get her number or something?
>>16789055
If you meet her casually I think you should ask her number. But if you guys were acquaintances you should slow it down. Talk to her first, maybe ask her Facebook something. The rest is your luck. Good luck.
I lied about being in good shape in a job interview and I was called about it today and I got the job that I will probably be physically incapable of doing for more than 2 hours.
What do I do?
I'd suggest being honest and telling your employer you're a fat piece of shit who lies on top.
>>16791456
You'll be fired while you're in the probationary period.
>>16791464
I'm not fat tho. I'm pretty ideally human-sized. Just haven't done that much heavy lifting for a while.
I'm in a hell of a pickle, /adv/.
I've been talking to this girl recently and she really seems like a great girl. However, I've lately been hearing things that aren't quite good about her. I've heard she has a boyfriend, but I've heard she'll never say she has one unless you ask her directly. She's mentioned his name before, but she had never once referred to him as her boyfriend. This concerns me because:
A. If he finds out I like her, I could have a whole new problem on my hands, because she and I did somewhat go on a date (i.e. just the two of us hanging out)..
B. Who's to say she wouldn't do the same to me?
Should I just forget about her? Everything else about her seems awesome but this really concerns me. What do you think, /adv/?
>>16789052
I refer to my boyfriend by his name too, because, you know, that's his name
>sister is an ex-felon
>substance abuse in past, violence, just horrible shit
>mom got custody of her (now) 9 y/o son
>sister gets out of prison early
>beg mom not to let her live with us (our grandmother said she could live with her)
>sister swears she has changed and my mom lets her
>first month is great but it all goes downhill
>mom lays down ground rules, tells sister she has to get a job to pay her fines, move out and support herself ASAP
>months pass and sister has been making excuses left and right
>mom is now paying her fines, expenses etc
>sister's son is now acting out, has a screwed up schedule and diet
>sister is shitty toward everyone
>son now has a 'medical condition' that took her multiple trips to different doctors to get diagnosed
>she convinced our mom to get him into online classes so she could monitor him in case of an 'episode'
>tell our mom it's bullshit but see she's slowly bending again to my sister's ways
>catch him faking quite a few times, sister gets angry at me
>sister finally lands a job
>go to take her in the morning today
>"anon he had another episode at 2AM! I didn't sleep."
>flat out refuses to go to work, gets fired
>was up at 2AM and saw her son playing vidya, fine (his schedule is beyond screwed up due to her)
>mom seems only mildly disappointed
Okay, she is not supposed to be living here. Her P.O. meets with her at our grandmother's house, where she is SUPPOSED to be living. I want to get her out of the house ASAP, but every talk I have with my mother seems fruitless as she's once again bending to my sister's manipulative ways (despite her shitty attitude).
Is there any way I can convince my mom to kick her out? Is there anything I can do legally to get her the fuck out of this house? She's stressing out everyone, especially my mom (not to mention the financial drain).
tl;dr
sister is a complete shit bag. is there any way I can convince my overly kind mom to light a fire under her ass or kick her out?
>>16789047
Nope. I assume you're 18 since you're posting here, so you need to get yourself away from all that.
>>16789060
Damn. Yeah, and that seems like the only option. I just worry about my mother since she's getting older and that stress isn't good for her. Nothing I've said so far has convinced her to do anything.
It'll be a bit before I can support myself but getting away from this will help immensely. I just want my mom to be okay.
>>16789074
You can only work on yourself. Different anon btw.
I just learned my gf is on anti-depressants that affect her ability to orgasm. I'm the kind of guy who has more fun if a girl is having fun too and I'm not sure how to handle this.
>>16789045
the more depressing thing is she probably started taking anti-depressants because you couldn't make her cum, anon
>>16789049
We haven't even had sex yet...
>>16789058
see? i'd be taking pills for breakfast if i was your gf.
Has anyone here hired an escort/prostitute to lose their virginity? How did it go? Any advice?
Get a good one, spend like 200 if you have to. Don't go cheap just cause you're broke and horny like I did. I don't regret it that much but it just wasn't good, sticking it in her was like putting my dick in a microwaved jar of mayo. Also the condom broke and I got one of those lame pseudo stds that go away on their own like trichomoniasis or however you spell it.
>>16791367
Yea, I hired ur mom last night.
>>16791367
I did! i'll write the story out
So i am 24 years old and never ever in my life had a certain relationship. I dated but I don't know why i never have the feeling of falling for somebody. I like them but after a few dates that feeling is gone. I don't want to be with them anymore and even afraid of them go away after they knew the real me.
I didn't have that much sexual attraction from opposite gender yet i do maturbation.
In two weeks i can get crazy for a guy, imagine the life with him but then it's gone as fast as it came.
I don't know if ever in my life i can find the one I truly love.
I thought about the possibility of me being asexual.
Keep waiting/looking for the right guy.
>>16789037
I feel the same way. The problem is that I rarely ever leave the house to go to worthwhile events. I feel like I am being dragged through my experiences against my will. If it was my choice, I would just stay at home everyday and do nothing with my life. Instead, I accidentally went to a Anime Conji convention and met this adorable obese girl who learned to hate me. It was a fun experience while it lasted. Just get a job and learn to love yourself. Insecurity ruins most relationships. Do not expect a hollywood fantasy wedding , that is what kills most relationships. Learn to be a satisfied villain who does not need to rule a entire planet .
I forgot about contact information. If you do not share your info or keep track of a social network, then your branching out will be impossible.
What do I do if my boyfriend doesn't like sex? I've been trying to dress sexy for him for the past two years now and yet he has never taken advantage of the situation.
At first, I thought he might be gay, but he doesn't seem to have any interest in gay sex either.
The thing of it is that he's still a virgin too and seems to have no desire in losing it. He's not even religious.
What kind of man is he? Should I commit him?
yeeah hes gay
He could be ace, or on the asexual spectrum. Talk to him about how he feels about sex. Is he repulsed by it or just genuinely not interested? Ask him about how he feels about helping you fulfill your needs, even if he isn't interested in sex for himself. If he's willing to make the compromise to meet your needs and you love him, then I'd say stick with it. If he's not, you need to think about what that means for you and your happiness with this relationship.
Maybe you're a just a gross cow?
Tips for losing weight?
In regards to what to eat, which work out is best, and how to control yourself around foods.
I don't want to go to fit, because they're all mean to fatties trying to get better.
It's simple
Consume less and you will lose weight
That's it
Bonus: you can gain muscle to help burn fat
>>16789021
Ever watch "Fat,Sick and Nearly Dead"?Not implying you're any of those. It features a juicing diet. This guy's weight was melting off. It's worth a shot.
>>16789121
This works! I lost 50 lbs in 4 months. The first six days were absolute hell for me. Very lethargic, bad mood, really wasn't in the mood for any BS. Woke up day 7 feeling like I could conquer the world =) Also, I was going thru alcohol withdraws

>>16789016

>>16789041

>>16789016
her excitement at this prospect is in reverse proportion to your enthusiasm
