The sideburns are kind of messy, your chin needs filled out some more, and all-around it could be better. It's not terrible from that view though; I'd have to see your whole head to say if it doesn't work for you.

I cope with mine by getting engaged and soon to be married. Doing the marriage visa for the US since she's international, the whole deal. Make the commitment.
That's how I cope with it. Now we just imagine when we'll be together and doing that.
My point is that if you want it to work, if it's worth it for you, then it better be worth it to make some real changes in your life, meaning uprooting yourself, your job, your friends and everything to be with your SO or have that person do it for you.

Should our generation be tougher?
I always have this nagging feeling that I should be tough like my grandparents were. They were tough as fuck. They got on with things and didn't complain. I have spent quite a lot of time with my grandma recently and it's actually quite shocking just how different life was back then, in the middle of the 20th century.

My grandmother was raped by Russian soldiers during their occupation of East German, almost starved to death several times and thinks that I'm spoiled for not suffering like she did. She has borderline personality disorder and PTSD and abused the shit out of my mom.
I'd rather not emulate her example, and seek to be a healthy, well-rounded individual instead.

I did. Then i thought about it a bit more. The problem is people these days are made to act mature before they actually are.
Rather than doing stuff when they're ready, people feel pressured to go to school or start relationships when they don't have the means to succeed. That anybody does succeed at all is blind luck.
Help me /adv/
I found out today that my absolute 10/10 boyfriend looks at gore. At first we kind of clicked on it and talked about it a little. Every once in a while I like to look up gore because a little sense of mortality in the back of the mind keeps me humble and helps me come to terms with my own mortality. But now that it's sunk in a little I'm uncomfortable that he does it. I asked him earlier why he views it -thinking his reasoning would be similar to my own- but he just said that he doesn't know and kind of changed the subject. Which makes me think he won't share the real reason. He's funny and educated and extremely social but he has a hidden sadness inside him, like he's always holding back or being held back by something. We've been together almost 6 months. I'm worried about going forward, possibly being the girl who missed all the red flags and ending up in a suitcase. On the other hand, I do it too but at least have concise reasoning for doing so. I don't want to break up with him. I know it makes me a hypocrite but I'm not sure I can get past this.
What should I do?
Hidden sadness is kind of a red flag. That pretty much means his funny and social self is just a way to sell himself. Also much gore usually means he has some deep rooted problem and looks for justification.
Let him do what he wants? Why does it matter so much to you?
Some people just have a bit of morbid curiousity. There's nothing wrong with that.
