well, what is your intended career?
When I started college, I was dead set on teaching English. I got my aa by 20, and started taking teaching classes, I hated it, quit school, and just worked. Then I joined the army at 23, went to school for computer science at 24 (online) and loved it. I'm thinking of doing undergrad now, 3 years later.
Basically it seems like a crap shoot. I never would have thought I'd like cs. Try something you wouldn't otherwise?
So this bisexual girl I've been seeing for quite some time now has been really up and down with me lately.
She was crying one day to me about how her friends were talking to her ex or some weird shit, and y'know, I did the typical comforting stuff with her to make her feel better. She leaves to Idaho the next day and starts to tell me how her gratitude for me grows deeper and deeper and how now she's unsure if she views me as a friend or something more. Then she brought up my feelings about if she dated other people (which she has been with me knowing so, so why she said it then really confused me)
She texts me later in the morning about how she had a dream her and I were married, and then a few days later she tells me how my children are going to be 'so cute' and how I'm going to be a great father before calling me the typical couple nicknames like 'babe' and whatnot.
Several days later, she comes back from modeling and her friend pushes me to ask her if she wants to make a commitment or not (her family and friends all love me practically). She tells me bluntly that she views me as a friend and how she's been dating other people. And I pretty much politely told her that she keeps playing with my emotions, and she continued on to completely blow everything out of proportion and how I 'read into things too much' and how she's done 'so much for me' (she really hasn't done much honestly). Then all of the sudden she acted like nothing happened, and how she's hurt that I did that to her, and I did the stupidest thing I could possibly do and apologize. There was really no reason for me to apologize, but now all of the sudden she's going back to her old ways, telling me how much she loves me and how much I've affected her life.
What the hell do I do? I really want this to work out, because she's actually really cute and really gets me going some days, but my emotions are practically a toy to her, Think you can help /adv/?
What you do is you don't worry about it, and go find another girl. The thing about girls is if they want something, they'll go and get it. It's the current year and all that. She just likes playing games.

I'm at a normal BMI, and I try to get in about 30 minutes of working out a day, but I don't really have the dedication to get ripped. Is that mostly acceptable?
(I'm aware that if a chick is like a crazy crossfit hardcore workout person, she's probably going to be looking for the same, but I just mean someone who keeps themselves in pretty good shape.)

Please quantify this, because even fatass fatties will claim they work out this much or more daily when they really mean they walked to the mailbox or pushed the grocery cart around the supermarket

You ABSOLUTELY cannot rule out fatties here, it's actually very common for fat women to consider themselves athletic (to be fair, they are usually somewhat physically active). Someone such as pic related might say they're "athletic", but they're definitely still fat.
I honestly don't look at those categories at all, they're totally worthless
Is it possible to be a shut-away in a room but keep a sense of perspective? I like to basically stay inside in a cosy place so I can really focus on the work I'm doing, as well as some reading and watching some films on a big screen (basically cosy inside stuff). I've noticed this changes the way I think though, like in the 'rat park' experiments. I forget really basic things about being alive, like I forget what it feels like to go walk along the seaside, or that there's nice campuses with rock climbing walls or formal dinners - these must seem like very random examples, but I forget the not-so-dull parts about living.
So can I stay inside and do great work without losing my sense of perspective and possibly my health?

I'm 24 and in grad school. I'm pretty good at social interaction but I enjoy sitting in the house listening to music, playing video games, watching movies, and smoking weed, while also getting my work done.
I find when I have days or weeks of just sitting in the house, class, and maybe the gym a few days a week I make poor life decisions.
All I want is to not be mocked by bullies over my disabilities. Does this make me a bad person?

so i was offered a job in IT from a friend who works there. she put in a good word, and now they want my resume and a phone interview right away. i'm 20 years old, and have no college education. my first job was at 15, and i still have that same job. it's as a chef, so nothing to do with IT.
HOWEVER, i've been studying computer science/engineering since i was 12. i've sort of been the IT guy for my local town my entire life.
how do i put that on a resume?

That's a bit tougher.
Best case scenario you could do the A+ or something cert related really fast but that would be like a month at least.
You can say you're enrolled in classes or was in the past if you aren't totally lying.
You can also mention interests, aptitude, willingness to learn, and other stuff.

I graduated in August of 2015 and have been looking for a job since then. I've heard all the shit about getting experience and all that fucking nonsense which is why I was a working student for two and a half years as a student manager and did a bunch of HR shit, anything you could feasibly call HR is something I've done. I joined one of those organizations with executives and businessmen and shit. None of them work in places that are hiring or have opening I'm qualified to do.
I'm not an idiot, and I've been applying to entry/associate level positions that require 1-3 years of experience, stuff like recruiting, HR generalists, admin and clerical positions.
I have a LinkedIn and I apply to jobs all the time. I have written 6 or so cover letter templates that I add and remove from whenever I apply to something. Recently I've started trying to add all the job posters i can find on LinkedIn or calling them to follow up since I've only ever had one e-mail returned and it was a rejection.
I will concede my grades were mediocre, but I haven't been asked for my grades ever.
I went to several temp agencies and none of them have ever found a role for me.
The only interviews i've been invited to are for marketing positions (i.e. go door-to-door and peddle this shit, and it's 100% commission so we won't guarantee a wage) and to sit with headhunters for the temp positions they can't, won't or don't place me in.

Like I said, I'm applying to entry/associate level positions in HR and Office Support roles. I don't know if I'm doing myself a disservice by putting my ethnicity (Black) down or not. I've been doing so thinking I'd be a good diversity hire but I don't know anymore.
Ultimately I want to be able to afford graduate school, I majored in linguistics wanting to go into Forensics but I'm not married to the idea and it seems less and less feasible the longer I go unemployed.

Im 18 and out of highschool, trying to find a job,and live alone. I have no friends. Not a single person who cares, and I'd say 9 out of 10 days I don't even use my voice, no one is there to hear it. You're just 18. I would advise you to save up your funds and move. Also find a hobby and master the hell out of it. Things may seem bad but trust me, it's not.
