My psychiatrist has told me before I am vulnerable to psychosis (which isn't an actual diagnosis but is, at least in English, more commonly known as psychosis risk syndrome), which I figure is probably related to my BPD. Now, up until a week ago, I've never had any "true" hallucinations, just borderline ones (seeing shadows that are gone as soon as I look properly, and more prominently, hearing an ongoing static inside my head). Last week, though, I had a short yet vivid hallucination of a white spider, and last night I heard the voice of a friend inside my head.
I have an appointment with my psychiatrist scheduled in two weeks; should I call and ask if I can come in any sooner? I'm already taking an antipsychotic, but this shit is starting to freak me out nevertheless.

I would say its important as those kind of symptoms becoming worse isn't good. The anti psychotic medication may be contributing so the Psychiatrist can either take you off them or adjust the dose/type.

I have to go to college soon. I'm from a lower-class family and I have good grades (3.8 GPA, 2050 SAT), which leaves me with the option of trying to get into a good specialized college (might be difficult), or a state school (If it's relevant, it's UGA). Considering my parents have no money at all put aside for my education, it's definitely better to choose the latter option, right?
I think that's the obviously correct thing to do, but I'd really like some perspective on this from strangers to see what I might be missing out on. Also, I don't have any specific career I'm interested in.

Apply everywhere and then evaluate the financial aid packages that any university offers you. Specialized schools and private universities actually have more leeway in making money available, they are taking money from private endowments rather than from the state.

Well there are different kinds of truckers. If were talking long haul cross country stuff then you have to be okay with being alone for long stretches of time, have to have good focus/ be able to stay awake with not a ton of stimulation; it's also good if you don't have a wife/kids since you're away a lot. There are also truckers who don''t do long haul type stuff who can have families and put up roots.
I'd say in general you need to be confident in your ability to focus, pay attention, be alert because it's a dangerous machine.

Hi /adv/, I'm not good with words, but here is the problem.
My Dad has a severe paranoid issue, he thinks my Mom is posoining him even when they live sepparate, I cannot convince him this is not happening, I tried helping him to see its not real but it doesn't work, even when everything is locked he is convinced there are tubes comming from the walls or whatever and they throw poison at him, now he says if my Mom doesn't stop there will be sever consecuences, I talked to him until I was exausted, nothing works, he only trusts in my and his sister, I'm pretty much alone on this, I called a psychiatrist, and I have to bring him there or get the psy to our house, but I'm afraid he will not trust me anymore and he'll be alone for ever, he had some suicidal thoughts, I'm really lost here, even with a normal doctor is very had to take him there and make him take his medication, I don't even think I can afford taking him to a care house.
how do I get him to the psy and make him take his meds, without losing his trust?

Depending on your local laws you can possibly get him forcibly committed since he seems to be a danger to others. Sounds like he needs to be medicated, how old is he? Can you get guardianship over him?
Don't worry about gaining the trust of people with severe mental problems and delusions. It's more important to help him immediately rather than have his love and trust. If he can be restored to sanity then you can worry about that shit, right now he sounds fucking insane.
