How does one talk like Trump?
I don't mean like "build a wall" or anything.
It's just that he is always confident of what he is going to say and he nevers seem to be intimidated. When I watched the GOP debate, he didn't express any fear whenever he talked and wasn't afraid to express his sentiments towards his opponents. He would always insult them and if they fought back, he would come back harder.
Now that he is campaigning against Hillary, he doesn't have the fear to talk shit about her.
Little does he care about the...

I don't think personally insulting people in debates is a trait to be admired.
I have a videogame "addiction", i spend all of my free time playing instead of doing things that benefit me.
I have no moderation and right after i finish playing an instant feeling of regret comes and makes me feel like shit.
Will selling the console solve my problems or only pass it to another thing?
Similiar Situation here. Didnt play anything for almost 3 weeks now and i actually don't have any desire anymore.
I cut off everything that could enable me to game, only to find out, it was not much of an addiction to me(been gaming from 6-24, 3 weeks abstinence is huge for me lol).
Gaming was rather a way for me to 'Deal' with my problems. I ran away, gamed my issues away.
Tl;dr are you addicted or are you trying to forget underlying issues?

Forgot to mention:
Actively participating in a self-help group helped me a lot getting off of video games. Like AA for gamers.
If you have such groups in your area, i really, REALLY recommend you visiting one. The people are in the same boat as you and mostly very friendly
Are video games causing you to neglect other things? Or would you not do those things regardless of video games?
I play video games every day and have my entire life. What I don't do, is blow off school work or time with friends to play games. This is what separates an addiction from a passion.
How to get over guilt re. dating and attraction?
I've been made single about six months ago, for a long time I was too distraught to change anything about it, but now I'm starting to get tired of the loneliness and I want to try and start dating again.
Problem is, I feel guilty even looking at women, I'm afraid they're not looking for my attention at all and that if I would give them attention regardless, even if it's saying hi, could hurt their feelings or annoy them.
Even Tinder didn't work out, I couldn't bring myself...

What you are is afraid of rejection.
>>17342367
you're forgetting one fundamental component
bitches LOVE attention, they don't really care where it comes from, they just want to feel desired
why do you think instagram is a thing?
>>17342653
Also, but mainly guilt. It's a bit of an issue in general, I have a hard time justifying myself and the idea that I'm a negative part of someone's day scares the shit out of me.
>>17342669
Girls love attention from attractive men, but hate attention from men they're not interested in, it's a waste of time.
That's what makes me so unsure, maybe a woman would appreciate my attention, but she may also feel insulted or disgusted,...

So I'm renting a room to a friend I've known for 10 years or so.
To make the story short when our friends in common get together she just goes off and never asks me if I want to hang out with them.
(I do get invited by the other friends that I have but not when she starts the plans)
She does invite me however when the friends that we don't have in common get together to do something.
Is she trying to hog all the attention? I don't get it.
This is really getting in my nerves.
What I would like to know also is how to fix this behavior without sounding clingy or needy.
pls respond
There really isn't much you can do to be honest. Do you have other friends you can hang out with?
Sup /adv/. I'm extremely drunk right now. Any hang-over recovery tips? I'm gonna need them.
Also things to prevent hangovers, like if i can do something now to not hurt tomrrow.
Before you go to bed, have milk and salt. Shoot the salt and chase with milk. It's gross, but it works. Drink lots of water too.
>>17342321
There's a lot of broscience and wives tales about this, but honestly the best thing you can do for yourself is drink water. Down at least a liter of water before you go to bed.
You may also want to take a B vitamin supplement if you have one available. Thiamine (vitamin B1) is part of alcohol metabolism and gets depleted from your hippocampus (memory processor of your brain, basically) when you have too much alcohol to process. Having an excess of B1 in your system will make sure you body has the resources...

tl;dr how to turn down a job offer when they've agreed to everything I asked for
OK /adv/ so I'm not unhappy at my job really but I'm not happy at it either, and there is no chance for any advancement or whatever there so I keep my eyes open for other opportunities. I saw one on craigslist and got an interview. It's not the best job ever but maybe a little more in line with what I want. They offered me a certain amount that is like 3/4 what I make now, and I said oh I can't do it for that, sorry. So they came back, to my surprise, and said they'd...

i have been single almost a year now. Also no sex. I, somehow, feel like a loser because of this..well...am i a loser?
Is this a long time being alone?
I have been in relationships pretty much 13 years straight. 1st relationship was 11years and then after came the 2nd of 2 years. Now, being alone, i havent had any interest being in contact with any girl in what evert the way. My ex is already fucking around like crazy, im not judging and i try not to be butthurt, but i guess i am because i perpetually keep asking myself am i loser being alone.

Youre only a loser if you keep acting like a shitdick just because youre single. Being in relationships isnt the most important thing.
Just go get some cake and eat it and then think about how cool it was that you didnt have to share.
I have been single with no sex for over a year.
Few days ago a cute 20 yo girl liked me on okc, things going well. It's funny how you instantly feel better about yourself after just a few dates and a bj.
Put yourself out there. Tindr/okc/whatev, it'll turn in your favor eventually.
I have been single for over 10 years for alot of issues I'm dealing with. Focus on yourself that's one person you have to spend the rest of your life with.
Is a 3.6 gpa in community college a bad thing? Could I do well in university/college with such a grade?

Good to know, thanks anons
I did some really stupid today. After hedging out with some friends , I proceeded to drive home. On my way home I passed a park. Since I'm not in school right now, I have time to waste. I kinda like to watch little kids play, so I stopped by a park. I swear I wasn't going to take pics , I was just using my phone to zoom in. A parent saw me and went off. I feel really bad. I wasn't really doing anything wrong was I? I didnt mean any harm.

Report yourself to the authorities
Oh my.
I don't feel like doing any guesswork about what's really going on in your head. I'll just say, you must bear in mind how your environment will view what you're doing. Don't be stupid.
>>17342234
I usually do....but I really couldn't help it today.
Hey, /adv/. I'm feeling kinda bummed and I'd like some insight.
I've been invited to my friend's wedding. I'm gay and even though she's very religious, she treats me very kindly and said on many ocasions that she liked my girlfriend.
I received one invitation, and casually asked our mutual friends if she didn't want me to bring my girlfriend. They all said she was managing space and couldn't invite everyone. I shrugged.
So I got there and everyone was with their respective boyfriend/girlfriend. Except for two: me and...

It's a religious wedding. What else did you expect?
It's normal feeling like that. But don't let it get to you, everyone lives their life the way they want, and such a thing doesn't change yours. You made her a favor by going over there and it's done, there's no use worrying over it
I have no advice but would you have felt better if your friend would have invited your girlfriend as well, but asked you not to show affection?
It's very possible that her family was paying for the wedding. And them being religious didn't want gay people at their daughter's wedding.
My best friend has a long term girlfriend of about 3 years now, they've moved in together and have plans for the future, pretty well settled in. He's recently confessed to liking me but I don't know how I feel about him. He's made it clear he doesn't intend to act upon his feelings and that he wants nothing more than to stay with his girlfriend. Is there anything I can do? Things have gotten a bit awkward between us, he's more distant than usual and I miss him.
What do you want to do? You should do that.
>>17342204
I assume he's gotten more distant because he wants to work on strengthening his ties to his girlfriend and weaken his attraction to you.
What you can do is give him that time and space, and try to be understanding about it. Maybe he'll get over it and be able to see you as just a friend, maybe he won't. Nothing you can do about it.
If you want a romantic relationship and you aren't in one, look for it elsewhere. You may find that if you are "taken", he'll have an easier...

What is the best way to deal with abstinence?
I'm trying to quit a *lot* of bad habits (porn, smoking, shit food, too much internet, videogames, etc) and I'm trying to quit them all at once because I've been trying to systematically remove them one by one for fucking 25 years and it just doesn't work because I intensify the other bad habits, and when it's time to cut a new other I always relapse back on the previous one.
Some people struggling with drug addiction have told me that working out helps, but I don't really have the money...

Ex smoker and ex fatty here.
First off, you can't change everything at once. Doing that will overload your willpower and you will relapse right away. If you have a lot of unhealthy habits, focus on getting rid of one. Once you train yourself to get rid of one addiction or bad habit, it will be easier to get rid of the others.
I personally started with quitting smoking. I spent a year focusing on not smoking, ever. If I wanted to smoke, I either worked out, played video games, or just went to sleep....

Doing them all that once is a huge mountain to climb. Some people like to knock everything out cold turkey, and sometime's that's appropriate, but it's not sustainable for everyone.
When I first broke through NEETdom and being a fat shit, the first thing that got the ball rolling was being in the habit of exercising 3x a week. Then I got into dieting (i.e. refraining from overeating), and then I started losing weight and getting fit. From there, I felt less anxiety and depression and started...

Overall: successful recovery relies on a combination of reinforcing good habits and eschewing bad habits. One takes motivation, the other takes willpower, but the nice thing is that each reinforces and rewards the other. I encourage you to pursue these things, and not to quit when you meet temporary failure. Pic related is a little hallmark-y but very, very relevant.
Best place for meet and fucks? No Craig's list. Apps or something besides tinder or just general advice on what to do and be relatively safe. Pic kinda related. lulz
Nightclubs.
literally everywhere. you know when a woman comes up to a guy and randomly starts talking about some shit? half the time she wants his dick. the other half she is just an annoying extrovert.
if you don't have women checking you out and giving your clear signals then that sucks for you man. sorry but there isn't uch else i can say. you'll have to stick with traditional mellenial bullshit.
the majority of the women i've fucked i've met in public. i don't find it weird or uncommon at all for women to talk to me in the street too.

What's wrong with Tinder? Is the problem that you're under 18?
Right lads I'm in Mexico right now on vacation, there is a girl from my town and I need /adv/ to tell me what to do
TL;DR- she leaves tomorrow morning what do I do
So I was out with my mates and we met these girls from my town, they are fairly cool girls but they leave tomorrow and tonight we were on the beach with one of them and their father caught us on the beach (apparently he is super protective/conservative). So anyway he is pissed at us and will undoubtedly go off his head of he sees us going up to say goodbye to his daughters. However I'm hoping...

Only that or more ?
Should I try to arrange a meeting for our country? All work is finished for the summer so she shouldn't be working
Really dude?
Ask her for her phone number, facebook, snapchat, or whatever you use the most
What are the hottest things that girls do while making out?
It's for science, I swear...
You little girl.
All guys want is to feel like they're wanted sexually.
Modern gender dynamics mean that women are a prize to earn.
To have an attractive woman give them something without having needing to earn it is amazing.
So if you're making out, escalate it before he does.
Be the aggressor.
They exist in physical proximity to you.
>>17342182
True, to an extent.
It's just like with anything else in life - if it comes too easily then you stop appreciating it as much. A little bit of mystery, taboo, and chasing makes it more interesting (for both parties).
i.e. For the girl it's more interesting if it seems like the guy really desires her and wants her so she might pull back a little. At the same time, she might also wear something a bit more risque and flirt/entice more.
As a dude, I know that I definitely get harder...
