Oh I almost forgot to mention that the person she is now dating is someone 3 years her junior from Norway that she has never met. I live in New Zealand so...... Yeah. That doesn't help. I keep looking up Acid Reflux, but all I get is the chronic disease. You know, the shit that you need to change your diet for...
I only get Acid Reflux on rare occasion. Sometimes, while digesting food, stomach acid will flow up my esophagus and up into my throat. I just drink water and wait until it goes away, and it does. And it doesn't come back until some other random time...
I don't think have Acid Reflux Disease, but what is going on here? Is it just indigestion? Or do I actually have this disease? Does this sort of thing just happen to people at random times?
If it's chronic, you usually know. But you can go to an ENT doctor and get an endoscopy and check it out. Prolonged acid reflux can lead to esophageal cancer and some bad things. It's also bad for your vocal cords and shit like that.
I'd advise you seek a professional who can actually examine you instead of asking on 4chan.

It happens to everyone every once in a while and is somewhat dependent on the diet. Completely normal unless it persists for great lenghts of time.
I need to move and my girlfriend's roommate is moving out, so she suggested I move in. I thought about it for a while and after looking for other places and not finding anything I agreed that maybe it's worth a shot.
The problem is that it recently came out that she was expecting us to be sharing a bed when I was expecting to have her roommate's room.
Now things are a bit awkward since we obviously had different perceptions of the relationship.

It also helps to talk about things you like to do or want to do. Everyone knows themselves so it's more interesting to hear about others. This is prime opportunity to talk about yourself.
If she's not interested in what you have to say despite you talking what you've done or want to do then there's a compatibility issue then. No problem, just move on to the next "person". It's not just women, it's people in general. You can't get along with everyone.

I wish there was some magical answer but the truth is it just takes TIME. Best bet is to keep busy. Get a new hobby. Try new things. Make new friends. After awhile it'll slowly get better.

The birth control thing is a shit excuse. If she loved you, breaking up would be her last option. Not her first. There's so many different BC pills and methods, and it sounds like she hasn't bothered to try any of them. If I was you, I'd use that to help me get over her. This girl was probably lying through her teeth about the pill thing, and I think that you can do a lot better than her.

I was born into a bilingual household, and I grew up learning Spanish and English. However, I quit actually using Spanish in late elementary school, and my study of the language became limited to middle/high school classes.
I still have the grammatical/basic terminological skeleton of the language. How can I go about becoming fully fluent in Spanish, with my current knowledge base? I want to become a freelance interpreter.

Just learn orthogrophy and read novels a lot with a thesaurus on hand.
Speak spanish. Talk to spanish speakers. Do this every single day of your life. Oh, and learn phrases, not words - you'll learn nothing if you decide to learn the word "querer" instead of the phrase "yo quiero <noun>", for example.
I just had a similar issue with japanese and learning how to say phrases was more helpful than the words themselves.
