I've dermarolled, but I was too inconsistent and stopped out of forgetfulness.
Some tips I did pick up, however:
-You don't have to PRESS the needles in your skin; if you bleed, you're pressing too hard
-Don't do it daily because it could actually increase the chances of scarring; 2-3 times a week
-Make sure you go in multiple directions over the area: up, down, diagonal, etc.
Not op, but wondering if there's a difference between going to a specialist derma to do it vs doing the procedure myself. It's like 150 more for a derma

the specialist will know what to do, how hard to press, which areas to go over, etc
that being said, if you really don´t wanna spend the bucks i´d go there at least once so you know what areas to cover and how hard to press
