Typically it's better to do your compound exercises before isolation so that you aren't limiting yourself when you need the strength of all the muscles.

Anyone have experience? My doctor wants to put my on meds because my total cholesterol is 300 (very high), as well as my LDL (bad stuff) which is 160. However my HDL (good stuff) is very, very high at 120.

Most cholesterol is produced endogenously. Dietary cholesterol has little influence over blood cholesterol, but some people are more sensitive to dietary cholesterol than others.

I have obvious abdominal muscles, likely more so than that of an average person WITH visible abs, however, mine don't show. I know this is because of my body fat %, which is 16-17%. Obviously, I need to cut. However, when I attempt to cut I can never get past 15% really without losing a shit ton of energy that prevents me from doing other things in my life (work, sporting events, etc.). I cut to 14% about 3 months ago, but go mono and was fatigued af for 3 weeks.
My question is; how can I cut to the ideal 10-12% bf so my abs show WITHOUT starving myself and losing...

Veggies (lettuce, spinach)
Chicken Breast with Rice
or
Homemade Burrito - Beans with Brown or White Rice
Generally, that's what I'm going to eat for the day unless something comes up (social outing, etc.).. I cut out junk food and ice cream ALL TOGETHER about a week and half ago, figured that was what's holding me back? I used to eat great all the time, and occasionally just have some scoops of ice cream or candy here...

Personally, I can't find any motivation and have become un/fit/. Can you give me some ways to stay motivated?

Dont "bulk" if you're a noob. Eat at maintenance and you'll get lean and muscular as fuck. Only bulk after 1.5yrs of lifting, minimum, unless you enjoy being skinnyfat.

i mean the 3x8 is shit. have some form of progression and decrease the amount of sets.
1set of squats and deads should be plenty 3-4 times a week for lower body work. 2 sets for upper body.

Just joined a new gym where people actually deadlift.
Every last one of them takes the sumo stance. Wide legs, arms on the inside. I've only seen 1 out of like 20 who would benefit from it, none of their body mechanics call for it.
Is this a new fad, or just my gym? Are they doing it because they can lift more?

Hey guys, been lifting regularly for about a year.
I started as a skelly, 69kg at 180cm. I am now 78kg.
I'd like to talk today about chest VS shoulder gains. Ten months ago, my bench was 62.5kg (3 x 8) and my OHP was 32.5kg (3 x 8).
Today, my bench is 75kg (3 x 8) and my OHP is 47.5kg (3 x 8). So, while OHP has progressed over 50%, bench has only progressed like 15%.
I have basically the same routine for both - 3 x 8 of the main lift and then one or two accessories. Any idea why this has worked so well for shoulders but poorly for bench? I work...

It could be many thing.
I train in a PPL and both my bench and OHP has increased even though I don't work my bench that much (1 plate OHP ,2 plates bench) on OHP+dips/BP+pushups and 4-6 accessories. 5x5 on main lifts ,12x3 on dips, a rotation on push ups and 3x8 on accessories.
You had a better bench than OHP at first ,if you only train on 3x8 it's no surprise when going heavier you'd hit a plateau eventually.
Looks like it's time for a change of routine. Go heavier for less reps...
