Riddle me this /fit/. Why should I do squats or deadlifts? I spent 6 months bulking hard on SS, and it just turned me into a fat t-rex. Yeah,I know, the reason I got fat is because I ate too much, but even if I was at 10% bodyfat the majority of my size would be in my legs, and that just looks bad.
If I focus on upper body and running, I can look great, be strong in the bench press (read: the only lift people care about) and spend time doing a cardio activity that actually lets me be social (esp with girls). I'll never have chickenlegs because I'm naturally...

Anyone have a good weightlifting program for bball?
Currently on 5x5 and my numbers atm (while cutting) are:
Squats - 255 5x5
Deads - 325 3x5
Bench - 225 5x5
OHP - 135 5x5
Pendlays - 165 5x5
This is at 205 lb 20% bf 5'10".

If you're lifting for sports, incorporate front squats, box jumps and power cleans into your program if you haven't already.
You sound plenty strong for basketball as it is. Kevin durant couldnt eveb bench 135 when he was drafted and hes top 3 on the planet.
To be better at basketball, play basketball. Dribble more with ur weak hand, shoot 50 mire jumpers per day, etc. I'd say continue lifting cos that will help with ur cut. If you get lighter you'll get faster which can only help.
