Do you calorie count on a cut or just portion control? Has anyone lost more weight not counting?
>>36469681
Calorie count. You'll always lose more weight knowing what you're eating. Some people fixate on food more when they're keeping track of it - that's the only reason I can think of that it might backfire.
>>36469681
>implying you don't count your calories in order to control the portion size
>>36471837
this
portion control by itself only works for people who are used to eating bigass plates of food + seconds and could benefit from just cutting out that extra helping
but that's lazy too
Looking for a new routing to get ready for the summer, im at intermedie level so whats u suggest?
Is pic related worth?
Its good, stick to it and you'll see changes
>>36469627
I am looking for a new routine as well. I got really far with PPL, hit 300/400/500 on the big 3, but You cant tell from looking at me. I want to cut more, and look like I can lift those numbers.
but need to fix my diet
how much weight should i put on the bar?>>36470095

should i go failure each workout?
Why in the hell is pre-workout so expensive? Never really used much pre-workout ever, but got a sample of pic related and thought what the hell, maybe I'll try it. Shit is $84 at GNC. I have the Gold card there so it would 20% less, but holy shit that is as expensive as good whey.
What the hell /fit?
just get some l-citrulline and caffiene powder
10x cheaper
and just as effective
I pay 30 for a month of mine which isnt too bad. Make you own or something
>>36469410
Do you make your own or do you use something else?
Also any sites that may have this stuff cheaper? It seems to me like PMD and GNC have a thing with each other.

If I spend another year doing general strength with lots of focus on weightlifting strength work for positions (eg. OHS, snatch balance, pressing and clean style deadlifts, upright squats, replacing bench with push presses etc as well as others) while learning the lifts casually and not doing them all of the time...
Can I be pretty good/decent weight when I come to doing it seriously?
I don't have the schedule for a real coach right now and no way of getting there.
Ive been going to the gym for the last 6 months and I owe it all to /fit/
Just a stay at home dad trying to lose a bit of weight.
I'm curious though, how do you get your wife into fitness? I personally had an easy time getting her son involved, but can't get her to take the plunge.

>I'm curious though, how do you get your wife into fitness?
You don't. My approach was to keep working out anyways. Her friends would compliment me in front of her. She's see grills give me the double take. Waitresses would flirt with me.
Lost goes on, but after she saw the attention i was getting, she stepped up her own game and started to exercise.

My local town is looking for volunteer firefighters, and this is something I very much want to do. I'm 6'5 and large, I want to give back to my community and be of service to others.
What kind of fitness requirements do you think they will require for me to be available, and how hard would it be to get there? I'm wanting to start training very soon. I'm strongfat right now but I do a lot of physical work for a living, 5 days a week, 4.5 to 5 hours a day of boxes, running, jumping, climbing and moving stuff in non-infinite time frames. I'm the...

The physical requirements will depend on the department. Generally speaking, volunteer departments barely have physical standards aside from the bare bones medical stuff required to do the job. It's hard enough to find volunteers who will show up to calls/training, let alone ones who are actually in shape. I've seen volunteers who are pretty much walking heart attacks, so if you're in any kind of shape I'm sure you'd be fine.
Career departments will put you through the grinder during...

So I should apply right now and specify that I'm willing to work hard?
I know I'm being a semantic semi-lazy asshole, but do you have some kind of source you can link me to?
Thanks a lot in advance. I appreciate it :)
>>36468736
Most of my advice is gonna be irrelevant to you if you're outside the US because I don't know how things go overseas, but here you go...
It never hurts to throw an application in. Their main concern is going to be getting you through the required training classes so that you can go interior on structure fires. Do you have any fire training already? A lot of departments will help train you, so there is that. Walk in and apply. They'd probably love to have you.
As far as fitness goes:...

Has anyone here tried, or use regularly, a sensory deprivation tank? I use them quite often and find them extremely beneficial for the mind and body. Im surprised I've never seen them mentioned on /fit/. Incredible for muscle recovery and even better for mental gains.
>>36468334
i am curious about them, but i have really bad tinnitus in both ears and i worry that it will just be so bad in the chamber that i end up having a shitty time.
>>36468334
yup ... great thing. I smoke weed + eat shrooms and go in for a 2-3hour session. I treat it just as a form of relaxation tho - don't think it does anything to the body

My sleep schedule is on fleek, but my sleep quality is shit.
My parents keep telling me it's because of vidya.
You guys got any tips on how to sleep better?
Watch ASMR videos when you are about to go to sleep, and thank me later you can find them on YouTube.
get off computer 1 hour before bed
read
take melatonin
drink tea
stretch and foam roll
masturbate without porn
lay under 50 blankets

I want to trim my leghair a little bit shorter so i don't look like a complete monkey, but i don't want to shave it all of.
What does /fit/ suggest?
>>36467859
Way to answer your own question. Think before you post.
body trimmer
>>36467859
Get a lighter and singe it down. It won't be 100% even but it will give you that rustic natty look.
Also AP's are ugly af, on par with the Seiko Monster. It's worse than /fa/ obsession with Mc hammer pants.
Hey /fit/
Rate me, I've been working out a lot but I still don't get enough dicks!
That's before!
>>36467635
Do you just curl everyday or something because you look like straight trash
Listen here little baby. You're gonna get a lot of hurtful and degrading comments, but that ain't what I'm about. Let me just say, you are perfect the way you are. You hear me sugar? PERFECT. Don't ever change. You deserve anything and everything you want. Stay safe for me, baby girl.

How do you "start" with those numbers big boy?
Hi /fit I have just started to go the gym and I am skinny I weight around 68kg and I am 5 foot 9, I am bulking, I was just wondering what a good weekly routine to use?
I started with PPL
So Push day:
Chest, triceps and delts, do bench first
Pull day
Back, lats, traps and biceps, do DL first
Leg day
Squat, leg press, extentions, leg curls and calves. Do some abs at the end, don't just do crunches but do some inner core exercises like planks, those help you with other lifts like squat and dl.
You can do it twice a week like PPLxPPL
>>36467477
Do SS, don't do PPL like the guy above said. You will get burnt out going 6 times a week and you will miss days making that routine useless, get little results and get discouraged.
>>36467477
Fullbody every other day (AxAxAx...etc)
