Depends on the books. I recently started reading books, and tend to lean towards the philosophy section. I'm reading Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" and Malcolm Gladwell "Outliers" at the moment.
I think it's a good hobby, as it can help you become more well-spoken if you read books that contain the right content, as well as more educated.

So my SO whom I've been with almost a year this month has been silently judging my drug habits. And by drugs I mean weed, Xanax and sometimes triple c's/DXM. I told him the other day on our way back from the park that I wanted to see if his sister had Xanax to which he quietly mumbled, "you shouldn't do those anyways..". I decided not to respond and now I'm left wondering if someone would ever want me as their wife. I like to smoke pot, not smoke weed everyday type of fashion and I also like to disassociate from time to time. It doesn't control my life but it feels like women get a lot of judgment for doing recreational drugs or drinking. I get it when it's over the top but I just want to chill out and listen to some tunes, maybe draw. So I guess my final question is where do you men draw the line when it comes to drinking and drugs in your relationships? Does your current SO do any of those things? Or your ex?

This is a smaller issue, I'm just gonna fucking clean everything so dad stops complaining. But how the fuck do I deal with this constantly. To be honest, I'm constantly cleaning up after dad. I do his dishes, if he makes dinner, he doesn't clean what he used to cook with. Then will constantly make passive aggressive excuse like "well, you ate dinner and I cooked, so you can do that work." Yet if I cook and he eats, I can never say that to him.
He's cleaned the full apartment maybe twice since we moved in over a year ago, claims he did it all the time, and somehow it's always my turn.
How do I even split house duties with someone like this? He also claims that it is because he is out of the house more than I am, but I am gone for just the amount of time he is. I go to school and work from 7am to 6-7 pm. He works from 6am to 5pm or so. We're both busy.
I'm just tired of the comments and excuses and manipulation..
Sometimes dad's get frustrated and sometimes they take it out on their children. He may not be specifically mad at you, but youre the only one there.

Originally I worked 3 days during the week + saturday, which was fine. I was going to school and studying. The other guy that was working here left, and the manager asked me if I could work everyday.
It's been almost a year and he has not hired a new person. I've told the manager time and time again to hire someone else but he has not done this.
I know it is not my decision, but when I'm alone in a store and get 10 customers waiting for me to help them, it gets fucking nuts. There is literally a line out the door. Sometimes it takes up to 30 minutes for me to help just one customer, and another 9 are still waiting for something - plus it's not always the same thing. I work in a third party pack / ship/ print shop, so could you imagine one person wants me to pack something worth $1000 while someone else wants to print 1000 posters or something and needs it done in an hour? Impossible - but happens every week!
I've only gotten one day off within 2 years - I had to ask 6 months in advance for it. The manager went away TWICE - January and February, leaving me by myself for 4 weeks total in the store. Opening and closing. Counting the money. etc.
I ask for a day off? "I need to see."
The guy takes off once a week and doesn't even show up on Saturdays. I could not go to work at all on Saturday and he wouldn't know about it since our security cameras dont even fucking work.

I need to practice driving during the week and not only on Sundays
I can't do any of this because I work 6 days a week.
It takes an hour and a half to get to work, and I work 5-6 hours a day, then another hour and half to get back. My hours are in the middle of the day till the evening - so by the time I want to do half the things after work, stores are closed.
If I wanted to do anything before work, I wouldn't be able to because I take public transportation and everything else I need to do is far away in the opposite direction

I need to work LESS so I can get other shit done.
I've worked for 3 years straight now. No vacation. No days off except Govt. Holidays. No time to do anything for myself. I haven't bought anything for myself either in 3 years. No games, no clothes, never went out to parties, never went out to see movies, never hung out with friends.
Literally wake up -> go to work -> go home -> go to sleep -> dont get anything done because exhausted from work or too late to do anything.
Can't change my hours either, the manager wants to get out of work early so he can go do things so I'm stuck with the late shift.

Tell the owner that if they don't do something to intervene, you will be forced to quit. Really lay it on the line that the working conditions are unacceptable and that if something isn't done, you will be forced to walk out (and I assume the owner will realise that basically means the store will be unattended and will require new staff that need training and shit that will be a massive pain.)
Take no bullshit, if the owner tries to farm it off to the manager again you say back "I quit. Can I get a reference from you for my next job?"
Either you get the reference, or the owner gets shit done and asks you to stay.
So I'm dating this girl for about 2 years now, I've struggled in the past with what the idea of "love" is with this girl, just to give context. We'd broken up (for a short period of time) just as I'd got a new job at a call center and before we got back together I formed a crush on a girl from my work. Problem is, the crush has turned into infatuation and I can't stop thinking about her. It's getting to the point where I'm fighting with my girlfriend and feeling very little because that way I might have a chance with this other girl. A guy at my internship is a massive bully/homophobe (I'm gay) and I can't decide if I should report him or if I am just overreacting to "banter".
Common tactics of his are to ask people that he knows are gay for tips on how to have sex with women and then keep pressing them if they refuse to answer to make them feel awkward/distressed. He likes to catcall people as they walk by, sometimes physically touches people to make them uncomfortable or call someone over just to tell them a lewd non-sequiter eg "I'm horny", presumably to make them uncomfortable. He has personally sexually harrassed me by restraining me + grinding up against me until I stabbed him with a pencil and left a few months ago, asking me what position i would use to have sex with a girl and asking me to act out the movement, as well as more pedestrian immaturity like calling things "gay" and people "faggots" in normal conversations.
After I interact with him I feel anxious and a little sick for like a whole day.
